Kid Cudi Announces New Album "indicud"; Issues Statement Regarding Roots Picnic No-Show

(AllHipHop News) G.O.O.D. Music recording artist Kid Cudi has revealed the title for his upcoming third solo studio album – indicud.

The Cleveland native took to Twitter early this morning (June 5) with the following message: “My new album is called ‘indicud’, it will be my version of The Chronic 2001, some songs ill produce, others ill feat &/or play songwriter.”

indicud will be the follow-up to Cudi’s previous solo effort, 2010’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, which spawned the singles “Erase Me” featuring Kanye West, “REVOFEV”, and “Maniac” which featured Cage and St. Vincent. In April of this year, Cudi and his producing partner Dot Da Genius released their pop-rock project WZRD.

Cudi will also be featured on the highly-anticipated and soon-to-be-released G.O.O.D. Music compilation, Cruel Summer, alongside label mates Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, CyHi Da Prynce, and many more. A visual for Cruel Summer‘s first single, “Mercy,” should be released any day now.

In addition, Cudi, who was set to headline the second day of this past weekend’s 5th Annual Roots Picnic, never made it to the show due to issues with traveling. In a statement released yesterday he said, “I wanna apologize to everyone who came out the Roots Picnic today. Im really bummed out about not being able to come through for yall. Its not my style to flake or be a no show, so ima let everyone know right now what happened.”

“The PJ I was on departed on time. 30mins into the flight the pilots noticed they smelled smoke in the cockpit of the plane and came back to tell us we had to make an emergency stop and land immediately. The closest city was Vegas and we landed there safely. While grounded, we scrambled to get a brand new plane in time but it just couldnt work.

“With actually waitin on the next plane to land then de plane and then fuel wouldve had me in town around 1am maybe later at that point. The events that took place were out of my control, but either way, what happened was some b####### and im mad. I cant front im mad. Daily Word: Today Is Your Day!!!

Happy Tuesday, my movers, shakers, and centers of influence!

Today’sDaily Word is dedicated to Today!! Truth be told, “Today” is the most disrespected day of all times! We thank God for Friday, we celebrate what happened yesterday, and are always looking towards tomorrow and the future! Statistically speaking, we spend more time with “Today” than any other day, but instead of fully taking advantage of that, we take it for granted!

If “Today” had feelings, then I’m sure it would’ve abandoned us a long time ago! Fortunately for us, “Today” is very forgiving! Each day that we have breath in our bodies is a day that we can put our best foot forward and make our dreams come true!! Stop cheating on “Today” with yesterday and tomorrow! Today has always been by your side and will always be there!

Yesterday doesn’t want you anymore, and Tomorrow keeps running from you!! Right now, where you stand, you have a unique opportunity to seize the day!! Make “Today” the best possible day that you can! If you do that EVERYDAY, I guarantee that everything you desire will fall into place! As I stated…. Today is very forgiving….But I’m not sure how long it will stay that way!! Take advantage of “Today” while you still have the time!! There’s only One Life to Live…. so Live it the BEST!!!!

Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Kanye West Skip Out On The WTT After Party Out Of Spite?

Rumor has it that Kanye West left his Watch The Throne bandmate, Jay-Z, high and dry in Paris recently, when he allegedly skipped out on the tour stop after-party to go to his hotel and Skype with his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian. Word on the street is that Jay and Bey are still not feeling Kim and refused to allow her into their inner circle, and even allegedly banned her from the after party. Apparently, Kanye, in turn, refused to go to the after party out of spite and instead chatted with his boo over Skype.

Yeezy missed a h*ll of a bash at the L’Arc nightclub, where Jay-Z and Beyonce partied alongside Serena Williams, Quincy Jones, actor Adrien Brody, and Whitney Houston’s ex mentor, Clive Davis.

The Sun is reporting that when the DJ played “I Will Always Love You” in tribute, Jay and Bey belted out the lyrics to each other. A source said: “Jay and Beyonce don’t usually do that kind of thing; the rest of the party couldn’t believe it.”

Peter Rosenberg Responds to Nicki Minaj Controversy, 'Not Sorry'

(AllHipHop News) After a media firestorm, his name becoming a trending topic, and after Young Money artist Nicki Minaj cancelled her performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, Peter Rosenberg has taken the time to speak out about his recent comments on the Summer Jam stage.

In an interview with TMZ, Peter Rosenberg elaborated on his comments made about Nicki’s song “Starships”, while introducing Kendrick Lamar on the Summer Jam stage.

“Basically it was the festival stage, which is traditionally the more underground stage, up and comer stage, and I went out there to introduce Kendrick Lamar from Compton, and you know, I just said if you are not about that ‘Starships” crap and you are about the real stuff – and I’m editing a bit, I’m about the real Hip-Hop. Let’s bring Kendrick Lamar,” Rosenberg explained to TMZ.

Rosenberg appeared to be surprised by the social media backlash after having made similar, if not worse, comments about the song in the past.

“Why would she listen to me? I’m a Jewish kid from the suburbs of Maryland who grew up on hip-hop and loves hip-hop. And I take it seriously. But it’s just an opinion, man. I don’t hate Nicki Minaj. I don’t have any beef with her at all,” Rosenberg told TMZ.

Since Rosenberg’s comments, Nicki Minaj has scheduled a free concert for her fans in the New York and New Jersey area.
