Welcome to the beginning of the fearless you! The you who stops making excuses, and the you who makes it happen!! Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to making the attempt!
There are many talented people in this world who continue to live mediocre lives because of their fear to try anything new. They make excuses about the economy, their environment, their upbringing, or simply have grown complacent. They watch as other people who aren’t as talented as them live their dreams, and they secretly envy those persons’ lives. They condemn, criticize, and hate on everyone else, but are still unwilling themselves to take the first step….
The Good News is that this does not apply to anyone who is reading this!! Because, if you are
reading these words right now, then you know that nothing is impossible! You know that anything you want in life is already yours, if you make the attempt to get it! You are also aware that you don’t become a failure by failing; you become a failure by giving up… And contrary to popular belief, if you don’t try then…. Yup!! You gave up way before you even started!!
Give your dream a shot! Allow it to come true by taking the most important step…. Beginning!! You are built to last and withstand many adversities…. I can almost guarantee that the thing you fear the most will most likely never happen!! So make life happen!! Get what you deserve out of life!!!

Jay-Z, Will Smith Back Video App “Viddy”
(AllHipHop News) Entertainment moguls Jay-Z and Will Smith are among a group of investors who are backing a new video sharing application, Viddy.
Viddy is an app for the iPhone which allows users to create small videos and share them with friends, much like Instagram works with photos.
So far, the Viddy app is a hit, with over 10 million registered users and 300,000 new members per-day.
Yesterday, the company announced that Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Shakira and Twitter founder Biz Stone are among the new investors in the company.
In an interview with the New York Times, Brett O’Brien, the founder of Viddy said that the celebrities were bought an undisclosed amount equity and will help to increase the “it factor” of the app.
“Shakira has 40 million fans on Facebook and she is huge in Latin America,” Brett O’Brien told the New York Times. “I’m pretty sure this will help us get bigger in Latin America.”
In February, Viddy completed a $5.5 million round of funding as well.

Let’s just make one thing clear, you can’t possibly “Salute the Spin Doctors” without talking to Jeffrey Allen Townes first. Known best to the world as DJ Jazzy Jeff, he is one half of the duo who won the first ever Grammy Award for Rap with their 1989 hit single, “Parents Just Don’t Understand”. Not to be forgotten as his partner’s star rose, Jeff has continued to DJ, produce, and help develop and guide budding music careers.
With Virginia’s own Skillz by his side and Hip-Hop icon Biz Markie handling duties on the 1’s and 2’s during a recent in-store appearance at West N.Y.C., Jazzy Jeff mingled and socialized with curious onlookers of his upcoming sneaker, along with all-around admirers and appreciators of the immense time, work, and overall class that Jeff has contributed to Hip-Hop for almost three decades.
AllHipHop.com was on hand to catch up with Jazzy Jeff during his Pro-Keds in-store and got him to speak on the signature sneaker that he designed for release in November. He also noted whether he has any desires to venture out further into the sneaker fashion game.
Jeff then went into “spinner” mode and compared the role and importance of the DJ 20 years ago to what it is today. In addition to some other great tidbits, DJ Jazzy Jeff told AllHipHop.com he is ultimately responsible for Mac Miller and DJ Premier hooking up, and that he thoroughly supports the Pittsburgh native in all of his endeavors.

AllHipHop and SOB’s brought Juvenile to New York for the release of his Nino The Magnificent (FreEp). Hosted by DJ Envy and Angela Yee of Power 105 Breakfast Club, Juvie performed all his classic hits to a packed house in New York and it was clear, Juvenile is back!
Rappers Headline Best of Best Festival In Miami For Memorial Day
(AllHipHop News ) A number of top rappers will descend upon Miami this Memorial Day weekend for the sixth annual Best Of The Best Concert.
The sixth annual Best Of The Best Concert, which is being sponsored by CIROC, will take place at Bicentennial Park on Sunday, May 27.
Fabolous, Meek Mill, French Montana, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled and Ace Hood will represent the genre of Hip-Hop during the event, which will be hosted by Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex.
Artists like Shaggy, Mavado, Marcia Griffiths, Admiral Bailey, Iwer George, Frankie Paul and Brianna will represent Reggae, Dancehall, Soca and Kompa music.
According to promoters, most of the acts will be backed by New Kingston Band or Ruff Kut Band.
The 6th annual Best Of The Best Concert will take place at Bicentennial Park on Sunday, May 27.
Curren$y Detained By Police In Dallas
(AllHipHop News) Curren$y ran into trouble with the law yesterday evening (April 23) in Dallas, Texas.
The rapper was in town to perform at the House of Blues, as part of the “Stoned Immaculate” tour with Smoke DZA, Young Roddy, Fiend, Styles P. and others.
But Curren$y almost missed his headlining slot in Dallas, after he and an associate were detained by police, apparently for smoking marijuana.
“Locked the CEO up, and I’m da CEO f**k,” Curren$y tweeted. “Ni**az was jus chiefin and bumpin dat new fiend s**t….Then some strangers came thru wit these bracelets that made my arms hurt…”
After watching the opening acts, fans were relieved to see that Curren$y made the show, when he hit the performed around 12:35 PM central time.
Curren$y walked out on stage at House of Blues, smoking what appeared to be a joint, before addressing the crowd.
“Thanks for all those #freeSpitta tweets – s### f### it let’s go…Y’all know all the lyrics. I see the Jet hats and the gear, and I don’t smell no cheap s**t either!”
