Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj had a meltdown on Twitter and deleted her page, abandoning her 11 million followers. While in London promoting her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, the first lady of YMCMB has said in an interview that she left Twitter because a voice in her head told her to. ”A voice in my head told me to delete my twitter and that’s what I did. I had 11 million followers and I hope they will wait for me. I miss my Barbz, please wait for me.”
Is Nicki losing it or what? She has 30 days to reactivate her Twitter account and still retain her followers.
(AllHipHop News) New Orleans rapper Juvenile hit the stage at SOB’s in New York last night (April 19) and debuted new material from his new mixtape and upcoming album.
The rapper performed a spirited set that included songs from his catalog, as well as current tracks from his mixtape “Nino the Great” and his upcoming album Rejuvenation.
“Just being here, everybody walking up to me saying ‘good show,’so that’s touching to me,” Juvenile told AllHipHop.com. “It’s a big thing when New York [Hip-Hop fans] come up and say that, especially when they’re asking about the new songs.”
Juvenile told AllHipHop.com that he has finally reconnected with Mannie Fresh on a consistent basis and the two are steadily working on new material for the first time, since Juvenile’s breakthrough 1998 album 400 Degreez.
“He got a hell of a schedule, and I got a hell of the schedule so we have to find and pick days to be in the studio together,” Juvenile told AllHipHop.com. “In them days, the album sold and then it became a big project. But we didn’t know. I kind of feel like that about this project. Everybody is telling me we have something big but I don’t know until the album comes out.”
Juvie said his new album will be released via a new deal with Universal, the major label that will handle the marketing and distribution for Rejuvenation.
Other acts who performed during the night included Neako, Troy Ave. and J.Y.
Juvenile said Rejuvenation is due in stores this June.

(AllHipHop News) Grammy Award winner and political activist, Mississippi rapper David Banner, is set to appear at Harvard University for a summit of leading scholars, activists, and artists.
“The L.A. Riots: Twenty Years Later” Conference, to be held on April 27 and 28 at Harvard’s TSAI Auditorium in Cambridge, Massachusetts, will take a retrospective look at the six-day L.A. Riots of 1992, sparked by the acquittal of Los Angeles police officers who beat Rodney King on video. The conference also looks to examine the riots in the context of democracy and inequity today, a time of economic crisis and revolution in much of the world.
At the conference, Banner will discuss how America has changed from the days when Rodney King was assaulted to the Trayvon Martin uprising 20 years later. The rapper will be accompanied by Henry Louis Gates Jr., panelists from Harvard University, NYU, Temple University, and more.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to speak at Harvard…it is vital that we talk about what we can do to better ourselves and our communities; now and for the next 20 years. The people of America, especially our youth, have the power to be heard; to change legislation and positively impact our culture for generations to come,” Banner explained.
Banner has been outspoken about the recent murder of Martin, as well as the lives lost in the Tulsa, Oklahoma shootings, and he will discuss both issues during his appearance. He has appeared in the past on BET’s “106th & Park” and BlackEnterprise.com speaking about issues facing Black communities in the U.S.
Beyond the Harvard conference, Banner is promoting his 2M1 Movement, telling AllHipHop.com recently, “We are not simply characters in a video game being controlled by the invisible hand. Once this donation goal is met, I’m going to shoot a movie that will drop 5-22-2013, and a portion of the donations are also going to charity. Big shout out to Louie C.K. for the motivation.”
David Banner Speaks on the “2M1” Movement
Banner urged fans to download his mixtape for free and support the movement: “Hell, even if you don’t like me, at least support the movement, because that’s what this is all really about.”
As of late, Banner has been pushing the 2M1 Movement for his independent May 22 release, Sex, Drugs and Video Games, to be offered for free via www.livemixtapes.com and www.davidbanner.com. Banner pledges to consistently deliver music, videos, movies, and use charitable donations to positively influence urban culture. He has already planned a movie to release on May 22, 2013, exactly one year from the album release.
The 2M1 Movement asks two million people to donate a minimum of $1 towards the project which features ASAP Rocky, Lil’ Wayne, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, Game, Nipsey Hussle, 2 Chainz, Big K.R.I.T., Bun B, Don Trip, Maino, Kardinal Offishall, Doe Hicks, Luck and Savvy, Raheem DeVaughn, Kree, Ras Kass, J-Doe, and Tank.

It was only natural that we spoke with the Virginia spitter, who filled us in on his plans to follow-up his “2011 Rap Up” with a 10th anniversary track come December that will see him rapping about Trayvon Martin, Jeremy Lin, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian.

R&B Powerhouse Tank just released his official second single off of his latest album This Is How I Feel, “Compliments”, featuring Atlanta’s own T.I and Kris Stephens.
Tank has been hard at work the last few weeks, releasing his Diary of A Mad Man mixtape, filming a video for its single “Underrated”, and even releasing a song with Chris Brown, titled “Lonely”. Looks like Tank isn’t letting anyone else in his crooning lane in his quest to be the General of R&B.
Tank’s fifth album, This Is How I Feel, is due on May 8.
