Ludacris and Branded PR did it again as they hosted Ludacris’ 9th annual LudaDay Weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. The LudaDay weekend was a 5 day event that was action packed and celebrity filled, all for a good cause. The festivities, which started Thursday (Aug. 28), are specifically to benefit the rapper’s hometown and led by his Ludacris Foundation.

LudaDay began with a celebrity bowling event at Bowlmor Lanes in Atlanta. Celebrities in attendance included Ne-Yo, The Internz, Lance Gross, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Angela Simmons, Big K.R.I.T., Dwight Howard, and a number of music executives. Friday night the Ludacris Foundation held their annual DJ and media appreciation at Frank Ski’s Restaurant & Lounge in appreciation of their support through the years. On Saturday Ludacris rocked out his free block party at Georgia State. The block party, hosted by Mike Will Made it, was open to the public and also catered to students on campus. Mike Will Made It’s Making Wishes Matter Foundation was also at the forefront of this event along with the Ludacris Foundation. Rochelle Hot 16, Scotty ATL, Two-9, and Rae Sremmurd were some of the performers.

On Sunday LudaDay event goers geared back up and attended one of the most anticipated LudaDay events, the celebrity basketball game, at Georgia State University’s Sports Arena. Ludacris’ Team DTP went head-to-head with the Young Money Cash Money Billionaires. Rappers Roscoe Dash, Trinidad James and Lou Williams of the Toronto Raptors were amongst a number of celebrities, artists and professional NBA players on the court. Houston Rockets player Dwight Howard wowed the crowd with a few dunks. Team DTP was victorious in the end, and the proceeds all went to charity. Luda also hosted a private red carpet screening of the VH1 Rock Doc “ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the rap game” at the Rialto Theater in Atlanta on Sunday. ATL music legends hit the carpet sharing their favorite moments in Atlanta music history. Monday was about fun and relaxation as Luda hosted his annual Splash Waterfalls private pool party. Ludacris stated, “If you think we did it big this year, wait until next year for the 10th anniversary.”
