(AllHipHop News) The Roots are back with a new album. The conceptual …And Then You Shoot Your Cousin will be released May 19th, but The Tonight Show house band has now offered the 12-track project for streaming.

As lead rapper Black Thought explained it, the concept of the album centers around examining stereotypical themes often seen in Hip Hop culture and the greater society.
“It’s not just about just one kind of character, we create quite a few different characters in this record,” said Black Thought. “It’s satire, but in that satire it’s an analysis of some of the stereotypes perpetuated in not only the Hip Hop community, but in the community.”
