Rapper
50 Cent has signed on to star in Universal Pictures’ new heist film Live Bet,
which is set in the world of underground clubs and illegal car racing, Daily
Variety reports. The
movie, which was originally penned by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, is being
produced by Mary Parent and Scott Stuber, along with G-Unit Films’ Chris Lighty.
The
script is currently being rewritten by the films director, Mexican flimmaker Alejandro
Lozano. Production on the film will start in late summer in New York, Las Vegas,
Philadelphia. The
movie will be executive produced by Lemon Films’ founders Billy and Fernando Rovzar.
Meanwhile,
50 Cent’s new album Before I Self-Destruct will be released Jun. 19.
