After a hiatus of almost five years, Grammy award winning Hip-Hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony returned to the top of the charts with their newest album Strength and Loyalty in May.

Now the group’s resurgence continues with a new movie and the release of their signature watch, “The Bones Watch” through Freeze Watches.

Up and coming director Rich Newey joined forces with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony for his feature film debut I Tried, a film that focuses on what would have happened to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony had they not met Eazy-E back in 1993.

I Tried is also a track from Strength And Loyalty, which was produced by Swizz Beatz.

Newey’s first meeting with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony occurred in 2002 while he was filming the video for their song “Home” featuring Phil Collins and remarkably, just two weeks after meeting the group, Newey and another collaborator, Kevin Caruso had finished the script for I Tried.

“Bone is the real deal – both in talent and spirit, their music has a soul and their track record speaks for itself. I was honored to be a part of this film, to be a part of history,” Newey said.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony members Layzie, Krayzie, and Wish star in I Tried along with Hassan Johnson from HBO’s The Wire, Swizz Beatz, and actor Chris Mulkey.

I Tried is currently in the post-production process.

In addition to their new movie with Newey, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has also teamed up with Freeze Watches for “The Bones Watch,” an exclusive watch that will combine the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony logo with skull and bones, to create an authentic looking wrist piece.

“This watch fills an important market demand. The Freeze customer and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony fan want an elegant watch that he or she won’t have to take off when they leave their job or hit the town. A hot looking watch for all occasions,” said Christopher Hernandez, Director of Marketing, for Freeze Jewelry.

Customers will be able to choose from two different models, the .40 Carat watch at $399 or the pricier 2.75 Carat watch for $1,299.
