(AllHipHop News) The young guard of the music industry was highly celebrated at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. For example, Bronx rapper Cardi B took home the Best Hip Hop Moonman for her “Money” video.
Additionally, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus won Song of the Year and Best Direction (Director: Calmatic). Best R&B went to Normani for “Waves” featuring 6lack.
“Hot Girl Summer” by Megan Thee Stallion was awarded Best Power Anthem. In celebration of a legendary career, Hip Hop icon Missy Elliott was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
