Doja Cat is reportedly named on legal documents filed against her brother by her mom, who says he knocked the “Demons” hitmaker’s teeth out and is abusing both of them.
Doja’s mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, has taken legal action against her son to protect her from his alleged abuse, per TMZ. Sawyer claims her son Raman Dalithando Dlamini is physically and verbally abusive to her and Doja Cat.
The outlet obtained Sawyer’s application for a temporary restraining order against 30-year-old Dlamini, which details the accusations against him.
Sawyer claims her son is violent and says she and Doja Cat needs protection from her brother. She alleged that he knocked out Doja’s teeth and caused other injuries to her, including cuts and bruises. Dlamini has also stolen from his famous sister, Sawyer states in the filing.
In addition, Sawyer claims her son verbally abuses Doja Cat, talking to her “in a very degrading and demeaning manor [sic].” As a result of his abuse, Doja feels “unsafe and traumatized.”
The rapper and singer has not spoken publicly about the filing or her brother’s alleged abuse.
According to TMZ, the judge refused to make any order concerning Doja Cat, who must make her own application for protection.
Sawyer was granted temporary protection pending a hearing for a permanent restraining order. She accused Dlamini of physically abusing and threatening her on multiple occasions in the last twelve months. The most recent of which occurred earlier this month.
It’s not the first time Sawyer has sought court-ordered protection from her son. She claims she was once granted a restraining order, but it has since expired.
