Drake Leads 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominations

(AllHipHop News) Drake will be heading into the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards with 14 nominations. Other stars with a high number of nods include Future with 10, DJ Khaled with 9, and Kanye West with 8.

Drizzy will be competing for trophies in the Album of the Year, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, and Best Hip-Hop Video categories. He also has three chances to win the Best Collabo, Duo or Group prize.

This year’s Best Hip Hop Video lists consists of 2 Chainz’s “Watch Out,” Desiigner’s “Panda,” DJ Khaled’s “I Got The Keys,” Fat Joe & Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up,” Kanye West’s “Famous,” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”

Best Collabo, Duo or Group features “All The Way Up,” “I Got The Keys” featuring Jay Z & Future, DJ Khaled’s “For Free” featuring Drake, Drake & Future’s “Jumpman,” and Drake’s “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla.

Lyricist Of The Year includes Drake, Chance The Rapper, J. Cole, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar. MVP Of The Year includes DJ Khaled, Drake, Future, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar.

DJ Khaled’s I Changed A Lot, Dr. Dre’s Compton, Drake’s Views, Fetty Wap’s Fetty Wap, Future’s DS2, and Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo are up for Album Of The Year.

Anderson .Paak, Bryson Tiller, Chance The Rapper, Desiigner, and Tory Lanez were tapped for Best New Hip Hop Artist.

In 2015, Drake won BET Hip-Hop Awards for Best Collabo, Duo or Group (Big Sean featuring Drake and Kanye West – “Blessings”), Sweet 16 (Fetty Wap featuring Drake – “My Way”), People’s Champ Award (Big Sean featuring Drake and Kanye West – “Blessings”) and MVP Of The Year.
