AllHipHop.com caught up with Havoc to talk about his latest LP. In addition, the veteran rapper/producer recalls on his days being in the middle of the so-called “East Coast vs West Coast” feud.

“It was fun, because we were young. We were just getting the hang of things. People were calling out our names on some beef sh-t,” says Havoc. “I was like, ‘F-ck it. We got who saying our names? We gonna sell some records.’ I ain’t care. It was a real fun time in spite of all the beef we had.”

The 41-year-old New Yorker also covers the deaths of The Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac. Later Havoc speaks on the changes taking place in the music industry, signing to 50 Cent, his future endeavors, Lauryn Hill’s tendency to be late to shows, and Desiigner’s “Panda.”

“That sh-t is hard. That sh-t is ill,” states Havoc about the G.O.O.D. Music rhymer’s#### single. “When I first heard it about two months ago, I thought it was Future for a second. I was like, ‘Oh sh-t, son got a new song out.’ Then just recently I found out that it was somebody else, that it was a new dude.”

After a conversation about former Bad Boy artist Shyne always being tied to Biggie comparisons, Havoc adds, “But this kid Desiigner looks like he’s breaking loose.”

Havoc and The Alchemist’s The Silent Partner is scheduled for release on May 20.
