(AllHipHop News) Over the last few years, numerous rap artists have emerged as part of the new generation of talent from Chicago. Among that class is G Herbo.
The 20-year-old Midwesterner appeared on Common’s 2014 LP Nobody’s Smiling, he gained significant buzz for his own 2015 mixtape Ballin Like I’m Kobe, and he was selected as a 2016 XXL Freshman.
Fans of the Cinematic Music Group representative is expecting his debut studio album to arrive sometime this year. According to Herbo, the project will leave an undeniable mark on the culture.
“It’s a classic,” Herb told DJ Smallz. “It’s my first album, definitely gonna be a classic. It’s original. It’s new.”
The “Lord Knows” spitter continued, “I wanna stick to my core fan base – the people who know me, who can understand and relate. But it’s new.”
