Memphis, Tennessee bred rapper Gangsta Boo has hit back at charges that she was connected to a robbery of a dollar store in Mississippi in July.
The former Three 6 Mafia member turned herself in to authorities on Tuesday (December 8) in connection with the robbery of a Dollar General store in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Gangsta Boo was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and released on $100,000 bond after she voluntarily turned herself in to police to face the charge.
Police haven’t stated Gangsta Boo’s role in the robbery, but stated that the 30-year-old played a major role in the armed robbery.
Gangsta Boo vehemently denied the charges levied at her and labeled the reports “rumors.”
“I am innocent and all this bulls**t they talkin’ about on me is bulls**t,” Gangsta Boo said on her official Twitter page.
“What innocent person in their right mind won’t turn themselves in damn fools…the media couldn’t explain what I did because I wasn’t there. Hahahaha laughen [sic] at ‘em.”
Gangsta Boo is planning to release a statement today (December 10) at 5:00pm in regards to the incident and media reports.
A 28-year-old man named Marcus Curtis has been charged with felony armed robbery, after he forced an employee back into the store at gunpoint and forced others to lie down as he robbed the store.
“We did receive tips from some citizens the gun that he used was kind of unique that helped solve the crime,” said Olive Branch Police Department officer Major Tim Presley.
“Remember the system is set up 2 set u up,” Gangsta Boo Tweeted. “Be careful of who you have around you.”
Gangsta Boo is preparing to release a new mixtape titled Rumors 2: The State Vs. Lola Mitchell.
