(AllHipHop News) Despite the decline in album sales across the recording industry, superstar acts are still bringing in impressive revenue from music. Billboard ranked the top money-makers of 2015, and Roc Nation emcee J. Cole was named the highest earning Hip Hop artist on the list.

The North Carolina native came in at #27 with a total of $8.8 million. According to the publication, Cole earned $1.5 million from music sales, $788,000 from streaming, $1.1 million from publishing, and $5.5 million from touring.
The only other rappers to make the top 40 were Drake and Nicki Minaj. Drizzy (#32) made $7.4 million in revenue for 2015. Most of the OVO front man’s music revenue came from sales which totaled $4.4 million.
Drake’s fellow YMCMB representative Minaj (#39) is said to have collected $6.3 million last year. The leader of the Barbz was most successful from touring. Nicki made $3.5 million from her performances.
Taylor Swift leads the list with $73.5 million. The Pop singer was followed by Kenny Chesney (#2) with $39.8 million, The Rolling Stones (#3) with $39.6 million, Billy Joel (#4) $31.7 million, and One Direction (#5) with $24.2 million.
