LISTEN: Kanye West Finally Releases “Jesus Is King”

Kanye West’s latest album Jesus Is King landed in stores on October 25th, but not without some delays.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has finally delivered his highly-anticipated gospel album to fans, 12 hours later than previously scheduled.

The rapper had initially intended to release Jesus Is King in late September, but the project failed to materialize on streaming services, and instead, Kanye hosted a series of album listening parties.

He then promised to drop the new music at midnight on Friday (October 25th).

But again the deadline came and went, and at 1am, the “Stronger” hitmaker returned to Twitter to explain that he and his engineers were still working to finalize the tunes.

“To my fans, Thank you for being loyal & patient,” he wrote. “We are specifically fixing mixes on Everything We Need, Follow God & Water. We not going to sleep until this album is out!”

The news didn’t sit well with his followers, but Kanye managed to complete the finishing touches in time to share Jesus Is King on Friday afternoon.

The album’s launch coincides with the release of an accompanying Jesus Is King IMAX documentary, which strips down Kanye’s popular weekly Sunday Service gospel events.
