Kelsey Nicole has broken her silence and is speaking out about falling out with Megan Thee Stallion and the night of the Tory Lanez shooting in a new interview.
Nicole was in the vehicle when the Houston rapper was shot, back in 2020. Lanez was found guilty of the shooting and last year, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He continues to maintain his innocence and is appealing his conviction. Lanez claims an error by the court caused him to “surrender his constitutional right to testify in his own defense.”
Nicole fell out with her former best friend in the wake of the shooting. In a new interview on The Danza Project aired Sunday (March 3), Nicole explained her silence.
“It took a lot for me to come and do this,” she stated. “Part of that is, I wanted to be sure when I did speak that I wasn’t speaking from a place of anger. I’m able to articulate myself well enough and not allow the drama to overshadow how I truly feel. I think that’s very important. I didn’t want to take an interview or sit down with anybody until I was past that part.”
Nicole said she made the decision earlier this year to “open up more,” and “let people into my life a little bit and maybe this will help them understand me more.” She added, “Maybe my story will help somebody else. And I think it’s also part of the healing process. Maybe this will help.”
Kelsey Nicole Addresses Rumors Of Video From Night Tory Lanez Shot Megan Thee Stallion
Nicole also claimed she didn’t discover Megan “had been betraying me” until the night of the shooting.
Elsewhere during the sit-down, Nicole addresses rumors of video footage from the scene on the night Megan was shot. Wack 100 recently claimed he has a copy of a video that will end the “Savage” rapper’s career.
“I’m positive there was a video,” she stated. “There had to have been one, you’re in LA, you’re in Hollywood.”
Megan Thee Stallion accused Kelsey Nicole of receiving hush money from Tory Lanez following the shooting and the pair subsequently clashed online. Nicole testified in court but recanted some of the statements she made during interrogation.
