Rapper Lil’ Kim will host a celebrity charity basketball game this December, to raise awareness about various health issues plaguing various minority communities.

Lil’ Kim and actor JD Williams (The Wire, The Kill Point) will be among the celebrities participating in the festivities, which will take place at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey.

The event is sponsored by the New Jersey Stem Cell Research and Education Foundation (NJSCREF), an organization devoted to educating the public about adult stem cell transplants and research.

Lil’ Kim, who is currently featured on the #1 hit single “Let It Go” featuring Keyshia Cole and Missy Elliot, also partnered with Preserve Our Legacy Inc, an organization that increase awareness and educates the minority community about the most common diseases.

“There is a serious health crisis in minority communities. Lil’ Kim has joined forces with Preserve Our Legacy and NJSCREF to focus on enhancing awareness and supplying the resources that will save lives, today,” said Tafia L. Allah-Pringle, publicist for the rapper’s Lil’ Kim Cares Foundation.

Lil’ Kim’s celebrity basketball game will take place on Saturday, December 1, from 5-9pm.
