Keith

Murray

, who was recently paroled from Prison

made a surprise appearance at the Lyricist

Lounge performance, at BB King’s in Manhattan last

week. Initial publicity only indicated live performances

by headliner Big Daddy Kane, Japanese hip hop act Furin

Kazan, Jane Doe, Skeme Team, Maspyke and Teamstas, but there

was much more in store as artists like Lil’ Jon, Pete Rock,

Special Ed, Big Kap and Ice-T, all showed their faces during

the evening.

After

Kane graced the stage and performed his classic songs, the

veteran eventually allowed his crew and friends to get involved

in the show. The crowd was surprised to see Keith Murray,

who just inked a deal with Def Jam. Keith, who slapped hands

with fans and spewed remarkably dope lyrics, was full of

energy. He gave the crowd extra, leaping into the center

of them, turning a portion of the crowd into a moshpit of

love for the rapper. Keith Murray was humble, walking through

the crowd for several minutes of Kane’s show speaking to

will-wishers.
