Meek Mill’s ‘DC4’ Is In Competition To Open At #1 On The Album Chart

THE DREAMCHASER IS LOOKING TO EARN HIS SECOND TOP-SELLER

(AllHipHop News) The reports of Meek Mill’s demise may have been greatly exaggerated.

The general consensus following Drake’s “Back To Back” diss record was that Meek’s career was on life support.

However, early sales calculations for the Philadelphia rapper’s DC4 retail mixtape suggest Meek could land back at the top of the album chart.

According to HitsDailyDouble, DC4 is currently competing with Kenny Chesney’s Cosmic Hallelujah and Avenged Sevenfold’s The Stage for the pole position.

Unlike Chesney and Avenged Sevenfold’s respective projects, Meek’s tape was only available as a digital release.

That means a large portion of the DC4 totals will likely come from streaming numbers.

Meek earned his first #1 album with 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money which racked up 246,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
