Metro Boomin is urging the media and general public to get the facts straight regarding Young Thug’s RICO case and a recently arrested trial lawyer.
On Friday (February 16), Metro appeared to respond to reports that Young Thug’s trial lawyer, Nicole Fegan, had been arrested. Shortly after the Atlanta Police Department confirmed Fegan had been detained and is facing multiple charges related to gang activities, videos of the attorney began going viral. Fans quickly began attributing her exclusively to Young Thug. Metro Boomin took issue with the latter and elected to clear the air on Twitter (X).
“That lady not even thug lawyer y’all gotta stop spreading misinformation,” Metro wrote in the first tweet.
In a follow-up tweet, he issued a call-to-action concerning both Young Thug and Kodak Black writing, “#FreeJeff #FreeYak.” Black recently had his bond reinstated after lab tests proved he wasn’t in possession of cocaine at the time of his 2023 traffic stop arrest.
Even though Fegan was among the team of attorneys involved in the Young Thug and Young Slime Life (YSL) RICO trial, she wasn’t Young Thug’s attorney. Young Thug’s main defense attorney is Brian Steel, who founded Steel Law Firm and has been widely considered the most successful criminal appellate attorney in Georgia.
Tenquarius Mender, the defendant’s case Fegam was representing, was severed from the YSL RICO trial last year. Mender was charged with criminal street gang activity and solicitation to commit evidence tampering linked to a deadly 2022 shooting.
According to WSB-TV Channel 2, Fegan has been released on a $40,000 bond and maintains her innocence.
