Queens rapper Noreaga will make his debut on indie, Hip-Hop label Babygrande this summer with his latest album Noreality.
Inspired by his online reality show and DVD of the same name, Noreality will offer fans a little something extra as Noreaga gives fans a lyrical tour of his everyday life.
Not a stranger to hard work, Noreaga’s work ethic has helped him sell millions of records as a member of Capone-N-Noreaga and as a solo artist.
Noreaga was also signed to Def Jam but severed his ties with the label in Feb. 2007.
He has released four albums and a slew of mixtapes in his career, which spans ten years.
“I did an abundance of work,” Noreaga told AllHipHop.com about his latest album. “I didn’t do twelve songs and say yo, it’s done. I did a good thirty or forty songs.”
Noreality will be produced under Noreaga’s label Thugged Out Militainment and will be released in partnership with Babygrande in September.
The album will include a who’s who in rap, including guest appearances from Jadakiss, Three Six Mafia, Kanye West, Tru Life, and David Banner.
Noreaga joins the ranks of artists such as Hi-Tek, GZA, and Jedi Mind Tricks on the Babygrande roster.
“Noreaga is a legend and a pioneer,” Chuck Wilson, Babygrande’s CEO said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him and even more thrilled that N.O.R.E. is back on that street s**t we all love.”
Fans can get a glimpse of Noreaga’s life at www.myspace.com/nore, where they can view clips from Noreaga’s developing online reality show and upcoming DVD series.
“People have been calling me and saying ‘yo you’re funny on the reality s**t. I can’t believe it-you’re like doing online reality s**t,'” Noreaga continued. “So, you know, as opposed to doing just that, I am going to make it a whole DVD.”
The rapper took advantage of the Internet while negotiated his deal, strategically leaking singles to keep fans appeased.
“The Internet is keeping me, it’s keeping me alive,” Noreaga told AllHipHop.com. “The Internet has been holdin me down so heavy, that I want to give the Internet back something,” he said of his online reality show.
Noreaga is still working on his upcoming album Global Warming as well.
