(AllHipHop News) A hard drive owned by Derek “MixedByAli” Ali was stolen from a vehicle on December 7. According to the L.A. Daily News, police have recovered the encrypted device which contained more than $1 million worth of original music.

23-year-old Jonjairo Espinoza was arrested on December 8 and charged with seven counts of burglary and three counts of grand theft. Ali was among at least 14 different victims.

Detectives discovered Espinoza’s fingerprint on the door of Ali’s BMW i8. The hard drive was found in the suspect’s car.

MixedByAli won a Grammy award for his contribution to Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly album. He has the chance to collect more trophies in 2018 with Lamar’s DAMN being up for Album Of The Year and “Humble” being up for Record Of The Year.
