Donald Trump Loves Kid Rock “MAGA Friendly” Restaurant After Ice Controversy

Kid Rock received praise from Donald Trump for his new Nashville restaurant The Detroit Cowboy following controversy over an ICE raid at another of his venues.

Kid Rock opened the doors to his latest Nashville venture, The Detroit Cowboy, with a glowing endorsement from President Donald Trump.

President Trump praised the restaurant as a “very friendly MAGA establishment” following controversy over immigration enforcement at one of the rapper’s other eateries.

The upscale dining spot, located in downtown Nashville, is a collaboration between Kid Rock and Detroit restaurateur Joe Muer. The venue is a nod to both Motor City and Music City.

Trump shared his support on Truth Social, writing, “Congratulations to my friend, Kid Rock (I call him Bob!), on the Grand Opening of his new Nashville restaurant, ‘The Detroit Cowboy.’ I hear it is a very friendly MAGA establishment, and look forward to going there sometime soon!”

The launch comes just months after Kid Rock’s other Nashville property, Kid Rock’s Big Ass H#### Tonk Rock’ n’ Roll Steakhouse, was caught up in a high-profile ICE operation in May.

The enforcement sweep led to nearly 200 arrests across the city and prompted several restaurants, including Kid Rock’s, to send undocumented workers home mid-shift.

According to multiple reports, managers at the steakhouse told employees without legal status to leave during a packed Saturday night service to avoid potential detention.

The move was a direct response to the ongoing ICE crackdown in the area. Kid Rock distanced himself from the daily operations of the steakhouse and called the media coverage “clickbait.”

He emphasized his support for legal immigration and deportation of undocumented individuals, aligning with Trump’s immigration stance.

He said that he supports “deporting people here illegally” and wants “legal immigration to be easier and faster.”
