(AllHipHop News) Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs returned as a recording artist with the release of his MMM mixtape in November. Puffy re-released the project on iTunes with two new songs. The head of Bad Boy Records spoke about the decision to offer the collection for sale.

“I was surprised that after people had a chance to have it for free, they still want to buy it,” said Puff. “I heard about the effect that Kendrick [Lamar] had when he let everybody hear his album for a week for free before they could buy it. It just shows that if it’s quality, people have a demand for it.”

According to his TDE label boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, Kendrick’s To Pimp a Butterfly was unintentionally leaked early to iTunes. The album was supposed to be released on March 23, but it hit the digital store on March 15.

The following day TPAB was pulled from iTunes. However, the project was still made available for streaming on Spotify. The album went on to set a new single day streaming record on the service.

Puff Daddy is next set to drop what he is calling his final album. No Way Out 2 will be the sequel to the Harlem native’s 1997 debut LP. Listeners can look for NWO2 to arrive in 2016. Puffy is expected to reunite with his Bad Boy Family for a new tour as well.
