(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop’s issues with the Grammys extends all the way back to 1989 when members of the community boycotted the telecast, because the initial “Best Rap Performance” award was not being aired on television.

Fast forward to 2015 and again none of the rap categories were shown during the broadcast. There was also controversy surrounding last year’s ceremony when Macklemore’s The Heist won the “Best Rap Album” trophy over Kendrick Lamar’s critically acclaimed good kid, m.A.A.d. city.

One rap representative is ready for Hip Hop to completely ignore the Grammys altogether. West Coast legend Snoop Dogg posted a picture on his Instagram page which points out Macklemore has picked up more Grammy awards than some of the greatest artists from the culture – combined.

Snoop captioned the photo with a very blatant statement, “F**k the Grammys. We need a Hip Hop show for real n***az and real MCs.”
