The Game Talks Taking Plea Deal With Anger Management Classes For Allegedly Punching Off-Duty Cop (VIDEO)

“THE AMERICAN JUSTICE SYSTEM IS OKAY WITH ME”

(AllHipHop News) Jayceon “The Game” Taylor was able to avoid jail time from an alleged assault on an off-duty cop.

Police officer Onyebuchi Awaji accused The Game of sucker punching him during a pickup basketball game in 2015.

Game was reportedly facing up to three years in prison if convicted, but the Los Angeles-based emcee chose to plead no contest to criminal threats and battery.

A felony count of making criminal threats was also reduced to a misdemeanor.

In a video posted to TMZ, Game explained why he took the deal with the prosecution.

“The American justice system is okay with me. I thought I was going to jail,” admitted Game. “As the case progressed and the witnesses started coming forward, I guess it just got weak and they offered a deal.”

The 37-year-old continued, “Any deal that doesn’t have jail time in it for me… I had to take it.”

Game was sentenced to 3 years probation, 120 hours of community service, and 26 anger management counseling sessions.

“The anger management – that might not be bad. I’m kind of looking forward to that,” said the 1992 album creator.
