The Weeknd Pulls Off Rare Feat On Hot 100 Chart With ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ & ‘The Hills’

THE SINGER JOINS A LIST THAT INCLUDES ELVIS, THE BEATLES, USHER, TAYLOR SWIFT & MORE

(AllHipHop News) The Weeknd is undeniably one of the biggest winners of 2015. The Canadian vocalist’s Beauty Behind the Madness album has spent three weeks at number one, “Can’t Feel My Face” topped the Hot 100 for three weeks, and now the singer born Abel Tesfaye joins an exclusive list as “The Hills” takes the top spot.

Since “The Hills” jumped over “Can’t Feel My Face” at the pinnacle of Billboard’s Hot 100, The Weeknd becomes only the 12th act to achieve self-replacement at number one. The previous performer to replace herself at #1 was Taylor Swift in 2014 (“Shake It Off” & “Blank Space”). The last R&B artist to accomplish that feat was Usher in 2004 (“Burn” & “Confessions Part II”).

That list also includes Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Boyz II Men, Puff Daddy, Ja Rule, Nelly, OutKast, Usher, T.I., The Black Eyed Peas, and Swift. As The Weeknd’s “The Hills” sits at number one, “Can’t Feel My Face” drops to 3.
