(AllHipHop News) The Canadian rapper/singer, real name Daystar Peterson, was pulled over by Miramar police on Wednesday (April 12) for a problem with his car tags, but the routine stop turned more serious when he failed to produce a valid driver’s license, according to reports.
A gun and a small amount of marijuana was also spotted in his vehicle, and he was taken into custody.
He was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, a third degree felony, and misdemeanour possession of cannabis 20 grams (0.71 ounces) or less.
The Canadian singer was also slapped with counts for failure to register a motor vehicle, driving without a valid driver’s license, and failure to show proof of liability insurance.
The 24-year-old was released after posting $1,000 bond. His representatives have yet to comment on the reports.
The star is due to serve as a support act on Future’s upcoming Nobody Safe Tour, which kicks off in Memphis, Tennessee on May 4.
Migos, Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, and Kodak Black are also among the show openers.
