(AllHipHop News) Trae Tha Truth and KBXX 97.9 The Box have both agreed to drop lawsuits against each other, over an alleged ban on the Houston, Texas rapper’s music in the local market.According to Houston’s Fox 26, both parties have agreed to walk away from the lawsuit, although no settlement between the opposing parties was reached. Trae’s music was pulled from Houston’s Hip-Hop station, KBXX 97.9 The Box, after an on-air argument between the rapper and host Nnete Inyangumia. over who was responsible for a July 2009 shooting after “Trae Day.” The shooting left eight people wounded. As a result Trae Tha Truth’s music was completely banned from KBXX’s airwaves. The ban on the rapper was so harsh that a number of popular DJ’s, including Brandi Garcia, were fired for playing Trae’s music at parties or events – outside of work. In May, Trae Tha Truth filed a lawsuit against Radio One, KBXX’s general manager Doug Abernathy, program manager Terri Thomas and personality Nnete Inyangumia.The lawsuit accused KBXX of causing damages to his reputation, mental suffering, lost performance revenue, royalties and other damages.
