Anybody that thought rapper Black-Ty was leaving the game after one album is sadly mistaken.
Ty, the Hip-Hop alter ego of singer/actor Tyrese, is already working on the follow-up of his debut alter ego, titled Black Rose, after the recent release of Alter Ego.
“I’m already workin on my new Black Ty album [and I’m] about 14 songs in,” the entertainer told AllHipHop.com in a written statement. “It’s on! I won’t stop and I refuse to lose.”
The singer divulged that he’s looking to record over 75 songs with a wish list of Dr Dre, Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Eminem, Canibus, 50 Cent and producers like Just Blaze, Swizz Beatz, RockWilder and his production team, the Frontline Boyz.
The exuberant rapper stated that “a classic [collaboration would] be Black-Ty featuring Lauryn Hill and Mary j Blige singing and rapping all on one song.”
Tyrese Gibson has reason to be pleased as the entertainer’s album, Alter Ego, debuted higher than any of his other releases with 115,957 units moved in its first week. The debut was under-delivered to retail outlets, according to Tyrese.
The singer had stern words for the nay-sayers and love for supporters.
Black-Ty aka Tyrese is here to stay,” he charged in his statement. “J Records made a mistake and undershipped my album and the fans still showed up.”
Alter Ego features The Game, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Method Man, Too $hort, Mannie Fresh and Scott Storch.
