Tyrese Gibson will launch "The Alter Ego Tour" tonight (Mar. 3) at BB
Kings in New York City. The
tour, which is presented by VH1 Soul, will feature Tyrese showcasing songs from
his latest album, Alter Ego. The
double album features Tyrese singing on one CD and rapping as "Black Ty"
on the other. He
will also perform past hits like "Sweet Lady, "How You Gonna Act Like
That" and other ballads. Alter
Ego moved almost 120,000 copies during its first week in stores, the best
selling debut week in Tyrese’s recording career. "The
