Young Buck Discusses His Relationship With Prodigy During Their Time With G-Unit (VIDEO)

“REST IN PEACE TO PRODIGY”

(AllHipHop News) The late Albert “Prodigy” Johnson is best known as one half of the legendary Hip Hop group Mobb Deep.

The early part of the duo’s music career began on the Loud label, but a decade later they teamed up with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records.

Prodigy and Havoc joined a G-Unit roster that also consisted of Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck.

DJ Smallz caught up with Buck to talk about his relationship with Prodigy during that time.

“It was solid in the beginning of course. When I was with G-Unit, we never had a problem,” Buck stated. “But once the separation between me and 50 [happened], it put – not just Prodigy – but a lot of the guys I might’ve had a solid relationship with in a place where… it put them in an awkward position.”

The Nashville native revealed that he was unable to officially settle any differences he may have had with Prodigy before the New Yorker passed away in June.

“I want to send my condolences out to Prodigy’s family. Rest in peace to Prodigy,” offered Young Buck. “All I can say [is] good things about him. I have nothing negative to say even if we left on terms with Prodigy speaking about how he may have felt about Buck.”
