Drake’s rumored sidepiece from when he was with Rihanna, Shaye G, mentioned via Twitter that Houston stripper Jhonni Blaze wasn’t the only one Drake had pulled the goon stunt on.
This is Shaye G, Drake’s rumored sidepiece at one point:
After collaborating on Kanye’s 2004 hit, “All Falls Down”, Grammy award nominated Syleena Johnson had seen her fair share of political gambit in the industry.
Leaving her Jive Records home and beginning the journey as an independent artist, Syleena confessed that this has been a trying, yet highly rewarding experience.
Nonetheless, her voice transcends all tribulation as she continues to deliver soulful projects to which any listener can relate.
Syleena’s latest release, Chapter 6: Couples Therapy, is a reflective piece that embodies both her passion and personal life.
Going through her own couples therapy with husband, ex-NBA player Kiwane Garris, Syleena’s eleventh album examines the complexities of relationships and delves into the core of the heart.
Watch as AHH chats with Syleena about her new album:
On her new album, Chapter 6: Couples Therapy:
It’s coming out October 27th….It’s an amazing album about relationships and I think everyone will be able to relate to it.
I approach every chapter [of her albums] from life experience.
My husband and I recently realized we have some communication issues…so we took to therapy last year around September, and then just recently they asked us to do Marriage Bootcamp on WeTV, so we just filmed that which was amazing for our marriage. We are so excited that we did that because it really made us stronger. And, October 27th Couples Therapy will release and that will be therapeutic for us and everyone else as well. You have to talk about it to be able to open up the lines of communication within your marriage.
On why her longtime collaborator R. Kelly is not featured on the album:
Robert he’s just doing his own thing, and he’s dancing to a different tune. Although he is one of not the most talented people that I know in the world, and I will always respect him music-wise, but I just think that he’s just growing in a different direction, and I’m growing in a different direction & we don’t always have to collaborate for things to do well.
Syleena Johnson’s new album, Chapter 6: Couples Therapy drops on October 27th. Will you be listening?
Fresh off the success of tracks like “Spray” and “Living Wrong,” Bronx native Reem Cassanova is returning with more music to complement his Day of the Beard (D.O.B.) project.
Accompanied by a Day of the Beard cartoon, Reem Cassanova‘s animated episodes and music on Day of the Beard have received critical acclaim and attention from a host of fans in New York and the East Coast region.
Now with a new song titled, “Where Dreams Die” featuring Bynoe (of Riot Squad fame with Stack Bundles and Chinx), Reem Cassanova is looking to reach even more fans with this heartfelt track about the shortcomings of many of his peers in the Bronx.
“The title is kind of self explanatory, but it paints the picture of the neighborhood where I come from. All of us started in sports and so forth and it seems like all the dreams that we had got tarnished by the environment. The drugs the peer pressure, and nobody from that area actually pursued their dreams they once had. Everyone is pretty much pursuing different things,” Reem said.
In the latest episode of Snoop Dogg’s GGN, DJ Mustard comes through to chop it up with Uncle Snoop. During his (smoke-free) sit down, he talked about getting in the studio with Rihanna.
“She walked in the studio like an angel,” said the 24-year-old. “She’s real cool. She reminds you of a homegirl.”
He also touched on his sound being compared to the Bay Area and how it inspired his debut album, 10 Summers.
“I just had to show them this side of me. It’s not on me it’s in me,” he said. “I’m from LA. I can’t just let them get on me like that.”

DNAinfo New York has obtained a video of yet another case of police brutality involving NYPD. In the surveillance footage from Aug. 29th, an unarmed 16-year-old teen named Kahreem Tribble is obviously slowing down from running from the cops in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. He is then approached by officer Tyrane Issac who takes a swing at him. Tribble raises his hands and is hit with a gun by another officer, identified as David Afandor. A third officer, Christopher Mastoros, approaches the situation and fails to do anything to stop the situation.
Tribble was taken into custody for possessing 17 bags of marijuana and disorderly conduct. He suffered bruises and cracked teeth and received medical attention at Interfaith Hospital.
The NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau and Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Johnson have launched a criminal investigation against the officers, who are from the 79th Precinct.
Afandor has been suspended without pay while Issac has been stripped of his gun and badge and placed on modified duty. Mastoros is not facing criminal charges; however, he could face a departmental charge for not stopping his colleagues from being so brutal.
“My client was minding his own business and they decided to chase him for no reason,” said Tribble’s lawyer Amy Rameau. “Their account is concocted to justify what they did, to cover their a####, to legitimize their criminal conduct.”
Rameau said she has plans to file a civil rights lawsuit against the NYPD and the officers. Watch the footage below.
Everyone has their own ways of dealing with breakups. Some turn to food. Some turn to drugs and dranks. Some turn to family and friends, and some decide to make drastic changes.
From the looks of things women aren’t they only ones who take their heartache out on their hair. That’s right. While Amber Rose is tweeting about the heartache of feeling like she lost her best friend, Wiz is showing of his new hue of purple locs.
I think the heartbreak has gone a little bit too far…

These is one of those cases where you can’t really blame the messenger, radio host Brittany Waters was simply reporting “tea.”
T.I. recently had a show in D.C., which ended up getting cancelled, a fan called in to the ‘ItsBrittShow’ on 93.9 WKYS, to explain exactly what happened. When the host took to Instagram to let her fans know about the segment, Tip wasted no time setting her straight.
Personally I think T.I. may have went a tad bit too far on the girl, but hey, like Kermit said, that’s none of my business…*sips tea*

(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda says New York City police are out to get him. The “Hot N***a” performer was arrested recently for smoking weed with two friends while double parked, but Shmurda feels the cops are on a mission to destroy his career.

The discussion about “Hip Hop Cops” that are allegedly assigned to track and investigate rap artists has been a part of the culture for years. Recent reports suggest Drake, Chris Brown, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and others are being followed by NYC police for their affiliation with Hip Hop.
Shmurda addressed his arrest in an Instagram video posted on October 3. The clip included the caption, “So da bum ass cops locked me up yesterday Fa some bulls**t made me miss.”
(AllHipHop News) When Drake released his Nothing Was The Same track “Wu-Tang Forever” in 2013, the response was mixed. Supporters saw it as paying homage to one of the greatest Hip Hop groups of all time. Critics saw it is an unrepresentative remake of the Wu’s “It’s Yourz.”
Regardless of fans’ reactions, reports began circulating that Wu-Tang Clan members were actually ready to jump on a remix of the song. That collaboration never saw the light of day. RZA spoke with MTV to explain what happened to Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever (Remix)” featuring the Killa Bees.
“A few brothers got on it. Some got on it and said take my verse off,” says RZA. “We were in Europe on tour, so everybody’s chi, energy wasn’t 100% up to par.”
U-God added that the crew received the track at the last minute, and he only had about 6 hours to record his part. He also states the subject matter he wrote did not mesh with the topic Drake covered on “Wu-Tang Forever.”
“At the time I wasn’t feeling ‘womany.’ I was feeling hard as nails,” says U-God. “He was talking about something totally different.”
(AllHipHop News) Young Money’s Drake could have to answer to police after a Houston stripper accused the “0 To 100” rapper of sending people to her home to threaten her. According to Jhonni Blaze, she and Drake were involved in a sexual relationship, but things turned bad when Drizzy became upset at the idea of Blaze speaking publicly about their encounters.
TMZ reports the Houston Police Department has opened an official investigation and is now looking to speak to a “male celebrity” about the situation. Blaze did go to police concerning the matter, but she has not decided to formally press charges yet.
Apparently, Blaze also claims that she was impregnated with the superstar performer’s child. Drake’s camp is denying the allegations.
