Rick Ross has been the subject of quite a few jokes related to his weight. But, all that has changed if you really look closely. The good brother has lost a lot of poundage in the last year or so. It was especially noticeable at an Atlanta concert earlier this year. I heard that Rick Ross has become very health conscious recently and has taken up a great new diet that’s helped with the weight loss. But there is another factor. I heard Rozay also does a bit of kickboxing! A lot of people actually do that these days, remember Jay does. Anyway, I think its a great look that Ross is taking better care of himself these days. It was looking crazy a couple times when he was having seizures and stuff like that.

Baltimore Ravens Terminate Ray Rice After Assault Video Surfaces (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) This time, the Baltimore Ravens did not wait for the NFL to punish Ray Rice. Hours after footage of Rice punching his now-wife Janay Palmer in a Revel hotel elevator was released, the Baltimore Ravens cut the running back from the team.
Rice was initially levied a two game suspension, scheduled to end Friday (September 12th) and ordered to partake in anger management counseling by the NFL. Today (September 8th), in addition to being cut from the Ravens, the NFL’s commissioner Roger Gooddell has suspended Rice from playing in the NFL indefinitely after new footage of his assault of his wife surfaced.
The original, grainy footage released by TMZ in late February was security camera footage in the lobby of the Atlantic City hotel Revel in which Rice is seen dragging his unconscious wife out of the elevator. In the new footage from the security camera within the elevator, Rice is seen punching his wife twice in the face, rendering her unconscious.
In a statement released today, the NFL claims it was not made aware of or given access to the newly released footage when the company requested it from the Atlantic Police Department. A spokesperson at Revel informed ESPN that it provided the incriminating footage to the police and none of its employees sold the footage to TMZ.

Wiz Khalifa Talks Being Forcibly Pulled Over By Police, Mike Brown Shooting + MORE (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) Wiz Khalifa still has love for the police even if they like to put a gun to his head. During a recent interview, the Blacc Hollywood MC spoke on his constant run-ins with the law, the Mike Brown shooting and more.
A warrant for Wiz Khalifa’s arrest was issued on August 6th when he failed to appear at a court hearing regarding his May arrest over marijuana possession in El Paso, TX. According to Wiz in his interview with 106 FM KMEL, the 27 year old MC says he’s been dealing with improper polic attention for over a decade, at least:
I’ve been driving since I was 16, I never got pulled over one time without having a gun to my head. They always pull me over and say, ‘Get out the car. What are you doing?’ Yanking me out the car. So I know how rough it could be and how you have to be not giving them any type of funk or they’ll do what they have to do. A lot of kids don’t know it’s that real out here.
Khalifa has smoked himself to Zen and even though he admits to having horrible experiences with police he admits that he does not hate cops. On his Curren$y-featured Blacc Hollywood song “House on the Hills”, Wiz addresses the racially biased coverage of his career. When the topic turned to the Mike Brown shooting, Wiz hoped that his song and other artists will help raise awareness of the grave reality an increasing number of young Black males face with the police:

LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes To Speak On Chris Lighty's Death On "Celebrity Crime Files"
(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop was violated on August 30th, 2012 when Chris Lighty passed away from an apparent suicide. Today (September 8th) two of Ligthy’s closest friends, LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes will discuss his suspicions of wrongdoing involving his death for the first time on the TV show Celebrity Crime Files.
The episode of the TV One show will be narrated by Ice T and will explore the drama surrounding Lighty’s death. A month after Lighty’s death, Les Levine, a private investigator was hired by 50 Cent and Lighty’s mother to investigate the record executive’s death. Levine informed Fox News that it was highly improbable that Lighty committed suicide due to marital and financial problems:
There is absolutely no possibility that Chris Lighty would commit suicide over money. No I don’t believe that Chris would kill himself over his marriage.
Lighty managed both Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J through his Violator Management company which also housed an up-and-coming 50 Cent. Neither Busta nor LL Cool J have addressed their suspicions of wrongdoing in Lighty’s death. Busta wrote a tribute song entitled “Chris Lighty” days after Lighty’s death and released the song on 1 year anniversary of Lighty’s death.
The episode airs tonight (September 8th) at 10 P.M. EST on TV One.

Eminem's "Rap God" Sets New Guinness World Record
(AllHipHop News) Eminem’s 2013 song “Rap God” has landed the Detroit emcee in the Guinness World Records annual publication. The single off The Marshall Mathers LP 2 makes the latest edition of the long-running reference book set for release this week.

“Rap God” was acknowledged by Guinness World Records for having the most words in a hit single. The total number of words clocked in at 1,560 words in 6 minutes, 4 seconds.
Other rap related Guinness World Records include most debuts at No.1 on the US album chart by a rap artist for Jay Z (11), rapper with the most US Hot 100 hits for Lil Wayne (64), longest freestyle rap for Aten Williams (17 hr 00 min 07 sec), and longest freestyle rap by a team for KJ52 Freestyle Team (12 hr 2 min).

French Montana, Kanye West, Rick Ross & Diddy Accused Of Stealing "Gucci Mane" Song
(AllHipHop News) The Kanye West-produced track “Gucci Mane” by French Montana is not even out yet and someone is already claiming it is a rip-off of their own music. Atlanta rapper 9Gotti is accusing West, along with Montana’s label heads Diddy and Rick Ross, of stealing his song.

According to TMZ, 9Gotti’s label Chinga Chang Records contacted Kanye, Diddy, and Ross in attempt to prevent French’s version from even being released.
The site reports:
The record label sent a cease and desist letter that’s pretty comical … saying the ripoff may have been a “drunken oversight.” It also takes a shot at Diddy — accusing him of being a music thief — and says Rick Ross should know better because he’s an ex-correctional officer.
French revealed during an interview with Power 106 last month that he did have a song called “Gucci Mane” that features Ross and Lil Wayne. He also acknowledged the Mac & Cheese single was produced by Kanye along with The Mekanics.

Cee Lo Dropped From Navy-Sponsored Event For Controversial Rape Tweets
(AllHipHop News) The fall out from Cee Lo Green’s controversial rape tweets continues. Cee Lo has been dropped from an upcoming performance because of the Goodie Mob member social media posts
Billboard is reporting Cee Lo was dropped from the line up for the United States Navy-sponsored Freedom Live event in Washington DC.
Freedom Live post a statement to its Facebook page about the cancellation. It reads it part:
Unfortunately, one of the performers we signed for the JBAB Freedom Live show on 20 September recently posted comments on social media that we consider to completely inconsistent with Navy core values. Regardless of intent or context, the lack of sensitivity towards an issue that is one of the great challenges facing our Navy is unacceptable.
As a result, we have made the decision to pull Cee Lo Green from the Freedom Live event on 20 September. Little Big Town, the main attraction for the event, will still perform as scheduled. We will announce as soon as possible a replacement opening act of the high quality that you expect and deserve.
Cee Lo received tremendous backlash after a series tweets about rape were posted to his Twitter account. He has since offered an apology for those statements.
The removal from the Freedom Live bill is the latest gig Cee Lo has lost. His show, The Good Life, was recently cancelled by TBS. The network insisted the decision to pull the unscripted show was because of bad ratings and not the recent controversy.

More Footage Of Rich Homie Quan's Brawl At Adrien Broner Fight Emerges (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) Rich Homie Quan was a part of the entourage that escorted boxer Adrien Broner to the ring for his bout against Emmanuel Taylor on Saturday. But it appears Broner and Taylor were not the only ones that threw blows that night.

Lloyd Banks Shoves Security During Concert In Hungary (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) G-Unit member Lloyd Banks was in Hungary to perform at the Offline Sports Games event. The Queens, New York native definitely left a mark with the Budapest fans when he got into an altercation with security during the concert.

Gucci Mane To Be Released From Prison A Year Early
(AllHipHop News) Gucci Mane and his fans received some good news this weekend. The Atlanta rapper will be released from prison earlier than expected.

TMZ is reporting a judge ruled that Gucci’s 39 months sentence for gun related charges will include time served which will reduce the jail time down by one year.
The sentence was originally to begin after a hearing last month, but it was changed to retroactively start at the time of the arrest in August 2014.
Multiple reports stated Gucci’s prison stint would end in 2016, but according to the Trap House 4 rapper, he will be released in 2015.
