(AllHipHop News) Last week Jay Z and his sister-in-law Solange Knowles got into a physical altercation in the elevator at the Met Gala. There is no word on what set Solange off, however the internet has provided plenty of theories as told in memes.
Jay Z and Beyonce’s first song ever recorded together was “’03 Bonnie & Clyde”, referencing the criminal couple Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow who were killed together by law officers in Louisiana. That type of dedication towards each other could have helped Jay Z once Solange unleashed her fury:

Closer examination of the video will show Beyonce had a delayed reaction to Solange’s assault on her husband and did not attempt to visibly stop the fight until the damage was done. That has led to many questions for Beyonce, that I am sure Jay Z has plenty of himself for his wife:

‘ This entire situation has completely changed the perception of Solange to the public:

If Beyonce is not going to stand up for her husband, Jay Z is going to have to get help in the most unlikeliest places:

I had a minute to talk to Love & Hip-Hop‘s star Rich Dollaz. Let’s face it, this dude has had his moment on full blast displayed on prime-time. He’s been turnt up on the show since day 1. Dollaz explains that it’s somewhat of his strategy. With the limelight on him, he can get his message, brand and persona embedded in your brain past the 15 minute mark.
Now, Dollaz revels that he has a new love interest in season 5. Listen to what he says and how he has used the show to benefit him and his goals.
(AllHipHop News) Reread that title, blink twice and then understand that it is real. Today (May 12th), footage has leaked of Solange Knowles assaulting Jay Z in an elevator.
The assault occurred last week at the Met Gala that Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange Knowles attended. No word on why Solange assaulted Jay Z. Here is a photo of the three of them directly after the assault:
Check the surveillance footage of Solange assaulting Jay Z in an elevator below:
Just look at this s**t!
TMZ just…wow…
I hope this isn’t a sign of something dire with the beloved Jay and Bey to the Z. The Carters are about to go on a world tour that fans are clamoring over. But, last week at the MET gala, Solange, B’s feisty sister, opened a can and she attacked big Jay! WT-ever-lovin-F? Jay never hit Solange back, but she sure got her s**t off. The “fight” was stopped by a bodyguard which looks like Julian, but I can’t tell. By the time those elevator doors opened they were composed. Solange was heated though. She don’t give a DAMN.

(AllHipHop News) Last night (May 11th), Shelley Sterling stated she intended to fight any NBA sale of the Los Angeles Clippers during her first interview since her husband’s racist comments surfaced. A day prior to Mrs. Sterling’s interview, Lebron James gave a declarative statement announcing that the NBA players want EVERY member of the Sterling family out of the Clippers’ organization.
Shelley Sterling has owned the Los Angeles Clippers with her husband Donald Sterling since his purchase of the team back in 1981. When NBA commissioner Adam Silver banned Donald Sterling from the NBA he explicitly stated that his punishment of Mr. Sterling would not effect Sterling’s family members. On ABC World News, Mrs. Sterling implied that the NBA’s attempt at forcing her to sell the Clippers for her husband’s statements had sexist undertones:
I will fight that decision. To be honest with you, I’m wondering if a wife of one of the owners, and there’s 30 owners, did something like that, said those racial slurs, would they oust the husband? Or would they leave the husband in?
Hours before her interview, the NBA released a statement addressing the complicated nature of the sale. According to the NBA, their constitution does not discriminate punishment when one owner is banned:
Under the NBA constitution, if a controlling owner’s interest is terminated by a 3/4 vote, all other team owners’ interests are automatically terminated as well.It doesn’t matter whether the owners are related as is the case here. These are the rules to which all NBA owners agreed to as a condition of owning their team.
Lebron James also spoke on Mrs. Sterling’s attempt at keeping the Clippers’ team in the Sterling family this past Saturday (May 10th). Speaking for the NBA players, James claims removing all members of the Sterling family would be the “what’s right”:
As players, we want what’s right and we don’t feel like no one in his family should be able to own the team
Mac Miller dropped his latest mixtape called Faces. The project includes features from Rick Ross, Earl Sweatshirt, and Da$H, among others and has songs like such the earlier released “Diablo.”
(AllHipHop News) P. Diddy is a self-made man multimillionaire whom dropped out of Howard University in 1990 to intern for Andre Harrell at Motown. This past Saturday (May 10th), Diddy gave an emotionally stirring speech that included the first time he ever revealed how his father was murdered.
Diddy’s father, Melvin Combs was shot and killed at the age of 33 while sitting in his car. At the time, Diddy was only three years old and apparently his mother had informed him that his father had died due to a car accident. Once Diddy arrived at Howard University in the late 80s, he dug deeper to discover the truth:
I don’t talk about this often. I was raised by a single mother in Harlem. My dad Mr. Melvin Combs died when I was three years old. My mother lways told me he died in a car accident. Something about that just didn’t feel right. Something was in my soul that was telling me otherwise. So, as soon as a I got [to Howard University] I went to the library and did some reseach. I used the microfilm at Founders to search through all the newspapers. When I type in my father’s name and the day he died I read in The Amsterdam News that he had been murdered in a drug deal gone bad.
Mary J Blige, French Montana and many other celebrities attended the event:

Calvin Klein Bacote connected with VladTV, and the author of Neighborhoods Under Siege shared stories of him and Jay back in the day. One particular story covered a time when Klein says he helped prevent Jay from a possible ten-year bid in prison.
“We were at a party and mayhem just broke out crazy,” said Klein. “Jay and I wound up being the ones to get caught. We actually got locked up, charged with attempted murder, attempted murder to maim, battery assault, and possession of a deadly weapon.”
Klein says was able to convince the alleged victim in the case to drop the charges on one of them by paying $50,000. He decided to take the charge so Jay could go free.
“I actually took the case on and went to trial,” adds Klein. “Jay testified on my behalf on that, but if it had not been my wittiness of going to the guy and talking to him and working some things out… A lot of people don’t realize that Jay would have lost his moment of opportunity because he and I both would have both been sitting in there doing more than 10 years, because I went to trial facing forty years. In the state of Maryland you do no less than ten.”
After being asked if Jay offered to take the charge, Klein reveals Jay did ask if wanted him to do the bid, but he chose to let the aspiring rapper take advantage of his opportunities instead.
“I didn’t want him to miss that opportunity so I told him, ‘Nah, we did what we had to do to get to this point and I’m going to take the weight of the case. I just want you to go home, straighten everything out and come back and bail me out. That’s what happened,'” added Klein.
Klein ended up doing four years for an assault charge.
