Now, there are always going to be people that have a something to say. Sometimes we ignore it and sometimes we say stuff back. Kanye is well-known for saying something back. But, this time he may want to chill. Laila Ali, the daughter of the GREATEST boxer ever, has something to say about the name Kanye gave his daughter North.
I think Kanye is going to reconsider what he says back, because Laila is a brawler! At least she was!
PEEP!

WELP! Check out this flyness. Oprah has used Hip-Hop in a great many ways this year. She has talked to everybody from Jay-Z to 50 Cent and made a spectacle of DMX with his “Fix My Life” mess. But she refuses to be friends with anybody that uses the N-Word. Mind you, this means she cannot be friends with just about anybody, not just rappers. She couldn’t even be friends with Martin Luther King, Jr. Or any KKK member. Or Rae Dawn Chong. Or Denzel Washington.
“You cannot be my friend and use that word around me. It shows my age, but I feel strongly about it. … I always think of the millions of people who heard that as their last word as they were hanging from a tree.”
I feel her on that.

We know Zimmerman is riding around with a piece in the glove compartment, but that wouldn’t help if he was, say, involved in a drive-by. I’m not advocating that, but just saying it wouldn’t be of any help to him. But, these recent comments Rick Ross has said made me think. George Zimmerman is not even in hiding and tensions are still very high. Peep what he said in a recent interview with Global Grind:
“I’m still angry [at the George Zimmerman trial verdict]. I’m upset and really, really enraged. I’ve just been trying to keep from putting too much negative energy out there. So, you know, we’re just doing our thing behind our closed doors. But most definitely, that’s a big problem and something has to happen and it will.”
When I read it, it read a bit differently than after seeing the video. But the words are the word! Sounded like somethings going to happen!

YO…I know its been one long bout of f**kery, but I’m starting to think just maybe Khaled threw a hail mary out there. He recently explained his “proposal” to Nicki Minaj. He said it really wasn’t real. But…well keep reading and we’ll follow up.
He told TT Torrez of Power 92.1:
“I was just having fun with it and just show love,” he says. “Bring some excitement for my fans and connect with the record. I just wanted to tap into the emotion of the record and really spread a message. I was joking with it and having fun. We be so busy making these big hits and I wanted to come with a dope plan to present the next smash single besides just giving it out. … I thought I did pretty good on the proposal. You know I want to get into movies and all that. So, I’m getting calls already for TV and stuff like that. They’ve been calling but now I’ma start looking at these roles. I really want to do movies.”
But, Busta Rhymes said it got increasingly real to MTV.
“Absolutely not. I knew nothing about the Khaled proposal at the time. I definitely was surprised when he did it and I definitely rewinded the MTV piece that he did it through about 30 times because I just wanted to see if he was joking, or if he was serious.” Did it seem more real with each replay? “I definitely felt like it was closer to real than BS because we know Khaled,” he added. “Khaled don’t do that. He’ll hype something up and joke around but that was a different kind of leap. If it was a campaign for the record, it was a brand-new, whole ‘nother angle that I ain’t never seen Khaled come from before, so it was definitely surprising for me.”
It really doesn’t matter if Flav is a rapper rapper or not, he’s official to the bone grisle. That said, it was odd that he went in a bit on some of the mainstays in rap right now are not Hip-Hop.
Chuck D also comments on Jay Z’s new deal with Samsung – very interesting. He basically says that this corporate aspect is not what’s good with Hip-Hop.
Check it out below:
Did you peep how Flav makes a distinction between rap and Hip-Hop… Interesting views from the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Famers. Do you agree with it?
YUCK!
Bow Wow and Tyra Banks sickened everybody yesterday with they AGAIN locked lips. (Honestly, I didn’t know about the first time.
