(AllHipHop News) The Hip-Hop community is buzzing about the latest record from Meek Mill titled “Repo,” aimed at hometown rival Cassidy.
The two men have been trading jabs back and forth over an alleged $100,000 battle offer from Meek Mill, which Meek has stated was taken out of context.
Cassidy’s latest insults directed toward Meek have prompted Meek’s reply “Repo” which dropped last night (December 27).
In addition to dissing Cassidy, Meek took shots at Cassidy’s extended crew, Larsiny Family.
Larsiny Family was founded by Cal Akbar, Shiz Lansky and Cassidy, before a falling out broke up the core members of the group in 2008.
Other Philly rappers associated with Larsiny Family included Luck-E, Jag, Dice and A.R. AB.
The founding members spoke to AllHipHop.com about Meek’s line against them on “Repo,” which labeled the Larsiny Family “trash.”
Shiz Lansky
“I’ve heard it and to be honest, I’m torn on how I should feel about it,” Larsiny Family member Shiz Lansky told AllHipHop.com. “Why? Well, it’s no secret that while Cal Akbar and I own the brand, Cas has took it upon himself to use the name for himself and whomever he’s currently running with. I think it’s a bit of a stretch to say Meek is referring to Larsiny as it stood.”
According to Shiz Lansky, Meek grew up associated with the Larsiny Family, and at one point, was even a fan of the crew’s work.
“It’s been nothing but respect and love over the years. With that said, Meek would have to mention me directly for me to even consider a response,” Shiz Lansky told AllHipHop.com. “The diss was a Meek Mill record. I’m not a fan of his music, but I did purchase his album to support though. The foundation we laid gave these other artist something to stand on. We (Larsiny, State Prop, Major Figgaz, and etc) presented Philly to the world. That can’t be denied by Meek or anyone else. Period!
“I haven’t been putting any music out because I’ve been focused on a new business venture (Sean Lassiter Photography) but I keep a few 100 verses in the tuck so if that’s the direction he wants to go, I’m all for it. We’ll see how it plays out,” Shiz Lansky said.
Former group member A.R. AB has gone on to create a tremendous buzz in the city of Philadelphia.

On Thursday (December 27), A.R. AB was named top male Hip-Hop artist in Philadelphia, during the Philly Hip-Hop Awards.
For A.R. AB, who represents Original Block Hustlaz (O.B.H.) the fact that Meek mentioned his name on such a high-profile track has created a new, tremendous opportunity for his career.
“Meek been running Philly for the past three, four, years running s**t. Right behind him it was me. Once Meek took off I was still here,” A.R. AB told AllHipHop.com. “I control the s**t since Meek took off. I control that street s**t. Meek will vouch for me and Cassidy will vouch for me. I sell the most and do the most views on the videos. After you think Meek’s name you have to think of me.”
He also spent two years fighting the associated charges over the incident.
But A.R. AB, known as the “Top Goon of Philly,” also enjoys a very close relationship with Meek Mill, with whom he has been grinding, since the beginning of both of their careers.
“Me and Meek are tight. we are friends, me and Cass are friends,” A.R. AB said. “I talked Cass yesterday, and I talked to Meek the other day. What you want me to do, they two homies. I can’t get in the middle of that. They are both battle rappers. I hope to see them both battle. Cass can battle and Meek can battle. So it would be a hell of a f**k*ing battle.”

Founding group member Cal Akbar was much more direct in his statement regarding Meek Mill’s track “Repo.”
“Somebody better tell the kid (Meek Mill) not to mention the Larsiny name,” Cal Akbar told AllHipHop.com. “I heard the diss track and he is outta pocket for that one. Wrong move.”

Its been almost a year since the sad, tragic death of Whitney Houston. The singer is revered for her legacy as one of the greats, but there was a dark underbelly. Now, there is a new report (basically a rumor) that she was killed over a debt. Paul Huebel, a private investigator, alleges that he’s got information that Whitney was marked for death from drug dealers she owed money too. The report, via The National Enquirer, says that informants and the coroner’s report has giving him his conclusion. “I have evidence that points to Whitney being a victim of high-powered drug dealers who sent thugs to collect a huge debt she owed for drugs,” he told the National Enquirer. Seems like Whitney owed a drug debt to the tune of $1.5 million! He says he’s got videos that support the theory that killers slipped into her room and killed her. The official report is that there were no signs of foul play but the PI says otherwise. “Whitney’s body shows classic defense wounds that would have occurred while she was battling for her life,” Huebel said. The real official report is that Whit was on drugs and drowned.

You probably rejoiced at the news that Kat Stacks was out of jail, but she actually is not! As of this writing, the lil slore is still in the bing. I am sure she is soon to get out but she’s still in officially. Nobody is clear on why but she is. She’s already getting back with Q from WSHH so that ensures that mischief will ensure. Don’t fall asleep after snorting coke or she is definitely going to set your a$$ up! Apparently, she is waiting for a judge to sign off but the judge is taking his sweet time.
I know she is going to change up as soon as she gets out. This is laughable to me!

Both rappers are utilizing Twitter and Instagram to send insults directly to each other, as been customary since the beginning of their feud.
The Philadelphia-based rappers are locked in a dispute, after a $100,000 battle challenge was offered up by Meek Mill.
Cassidy accepted the offer and since then, the two men have been engaged in a war of words that culminated in the release of Cassidy’s track “Me Myself and iPhone,” and Meek Mill’s track “Repo.”
Today, Cassidy replied to the diss record, which was released late yesterday evening (December 27).

(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor Sticky Fingaz has tapped an all-star cast to star in a new movie that utilizes Hip-Hop for the dialogue of the film.
Sticky Fingaz will be joined by a number of well-known actors in the new film “Caught On Tape.”
Sticky Fingaz wrote and directed “Caught On Tape,” which is in complete rap form, just as the movie’s predecessor “A Day In The Life,” was.
For “Caught On Tape,” Sticky Fingaz called upon Cedric The Entertainer, Vivica A Fox, Malik Yoba, Bokeem Woodbine and Ian Somerhalder of “Vampire Diaries,” to round out the cast of the movie.
According to reps for Sticky Fingaz, “Caught On Tape” is due to be released February 5.
(AllHipHop News) Legendary music company Sugarhill Music is going after Warner-Chappell Music, over a classic Hip-Hop track created by rap group Naughty By Nature.
Sugarhill Music Publishing recently filed a lawsuit against Warner-Chappell Music in United States District Court, Southern District of New York.
The lawsuit stems from the track “Uptown Anthem,” which was released in 1991 by Naughty By Nature.
According to the lawsuit, Warner-Chappell Music is co-owner in the copyright of the track “Uptown Anthem.”
At the heart of the lawsuit is the three-syllable phrase “we gonna,” originally contained on a verse from the track “That’s The Joint,” by Funky 4 Plus 1.
According to the lawsuit, “Uptown Anthem” samples the three words “we gonna” a total of 41 times, as the song’s hook.
The lawsuit claims that “Uptown Anthem” is being commercially exploited by Warner-Chappell Music and is infringing on the original copyright, owned by Sugarhill Music.
Sugarhill Music seeks a full accounting of the profits made from “Uptown Anthem,” in addition to damages that may have been “sustained as a consequence of defendants infringement of plaintiffs copyright and to account for and pay to plaintiff all gains, profits and advantages derived by defendants from such infringement of plaintiffs copyright.”

Rick Ross is currently putting the finishing touches on his sixth studio album, the follow-up to last year’s Gold selling effort, God Forgives, I Don’t. Kat Stacks spent the better part of last week celebrating the news of her release from federal detainment, but there has been a bump in the road to her eventual freedom. The infamous internet personality has been in prison since November of 2010, over her immigration status, but last week, a judge dropped the case against Kat Stacks. Yesterday (December 26), Kat Stacks took to Twitter to complain about her release being delayed, since a judge was not around to sign the order. “How @wwwicegov is going to break my family’s heart by claiming to be released on Wednesday but never did,” Kat Stacks tweeted. “Stop playing games with people’s lives @wwwicegov i am a human being not a toy.” Kat Stacks is expected to be released in the very near future.
