A few weeks ago, Game announced that he was going to name his upcoming album, Jesus Piece. Well, in a recent interview with XXL Magazine, Big Sean revealed that he had just recorded a track entitled “Jesus Piece” for his upcoming sophomore album, Hall of Fame: Memoirs of a Detroit Player. The new track features Nas and was produced by No I.D. Check out what Big Sean said about the track below:
“It’s a classic hip-hop song. We don’t just talk about Jesus pieces in general, we talk about Jesus pieces and the impact they had around the time in our life when we got our first Jesus pieces, or when we saw our idols with their Jesus pieces.”
So, did Big Sean steal this idea from Game, who had previously announced that Jesus Piece was going to be the name of his fifth studio album? Can we expect a Game diss towards Big Sean in the near future because of the duplicate name?
Sidenote – what do you think this track is going to sound like?

(AllHipHop News) The personal life of Hip-Hop star Game will hit the small screen this November, during a reality series focused on the rapper’s engagement titled “Marrying The Game.”
The new reality series focuses on Game’s eight-year relationship with fiancée Tiffney Cambridge, who is a 5th grade history teacher.
The couple, who have two children together, allowed cameras to roll during their engagement.
According to a press release for “Marrying The Game,” the engagement becomes complicated as Tiffney juggles her own career, as well as a relationship with Game and the drama that comes with being in love with a superstar Gangster rapper.
“For Tiffney, Jayceon’s actions leave her in a constant struggle wondering if she will have to compromise for the rest of her life with his demanding, lavish and wild career as a rapper,” a press release for the series reads.
“Marrying The Game,” is slated to debut on VH1 on November 19 at 9:30 PM.
(AllHipHop News) Ultimate Rap League (URL) battle rapper DNA has accepted Meek Mill’s challenge to a rap battle through a recent YouTube video.
In the video, which was released on Tuesday (October 9), the self-proclaimed “Get him the f*ck out of here” battle rapper addressed the battle challenge by watching a few minutes of the Meek Mill vs. Nagos’ battle, and pointing out how Mill’s approach to a battle is too outdated for field of battle rap today.
“Your music is fire but bro, in 2012, that type of battling is not going to work with me at all,” said DNA, who has been viewed over one million times on YouTube, spitting powerful punch-lines and fast-flowing freestyles against current King of the Dot champion (and victor over Canibus), Dizaster. “I done battled some of the best competition in the world, so it’s nothing for me jump in the ring with Meek and we can get it on.”
Mill tweeted this past Sunday about his desire to battle a seasoned battle rapper after watching URL’s DNA vs. E. Ness battle, which took place during their Summer Madness 2 event at New York City’s Webster’s Hall. The Maybach Music Group MC went on to boast that he wouldn’t even have to write for the lyrical bout, since he’s had a near perfect record battling on the streets Philadelphia since he was 14 years old.
Tweeted Mill, “I just feel like taking over….. that funny s__t ain’t gone out beat these flows and real s__t! And I ain’t gone write s__t! Lets get it!”
Only time will tell if the former battle rapper and now MMG breakout star will actually meet the URL contender in the ring.
BONUS: DNA vs. E. Ness:
It looks like we officially have another rap beef on our hands. 50 Cent went after French Montana on Twitter yesterday, calling him “weak” and a “h*e” – check out his tweets below:
RELATED: Hip-Hop Rumors: 50 Takes MMG Beef To New Levels! Diddy And Cassie Engaged! Illseed Lashes Back!

You didn’t think Frenchie was just going to sit there and take that, did you? The Bronx-bred rapper shot off insults towards 50 Cent, including calling him a “monkey,” something Rick Ross originated in the heat of his beef with 50 a few years back. Check out French Montana’s tweet below:
Rick Ross even got in on the Twitter beef, tweeting a subliminal tweet towards 50 Cent.
Originally, we reported that the 50 Beef was sparked by a comment French made in Complex Magazine, where he said:
RELATED: Hip-Hop Rumors: French Montana Says Rap Beef Is Dead
“You should avoid beef if you trying to make money. People get scared when you try to beef with people. In general, [even in street s###] nobody want to stand next to you if somebody about to shoot you, unless you have a a big lick. They [used to] do that with 50 because 50 was the bank. They knew he was going to win. People ain’t doing that [anymore] … [The rap game’s not built like that anymore]. No, it’s over for that. It’s gone, big time. They’ll get you out so fast.”
Well, apparently it was another comment about 50’s album sales that made 50 go off and set his targets on Montana. Check out an excerpt from the interview below:
Of course, Ross is on his fifth album,” Montana said, after being asked if Rozay will have a longer run than 50. “And like I said, he’s only getting bigger. This is going to be Ross’ first platinum album. He never went platinum. So when 50 came up, 50 sold 10 million. Then after his first album, he just kept on going down. You think 50 could come out and sell 10 million now?
“I feel like beef hurt him,” he added later. “I feel like it helped Ross unite people. That’s why Maybach Music is one of the biggest labels. It just makes sense.”
Ahh, okay – now I understand why 50 is upset. In the words of French, “It just makes sense” now, right?
Perhaps this new rap beef will reignite 50’s rap prowess, or maybe it will bury him into the rap abyss for good. What do you think?
It was all good just a few weeks ago!
ILLSEED ADDITON: French deleted a real humdinger of a tweet! I think he knew he crossed an invisible line!

That had to sting a bit.

(AllHipHop News) When Birdman signed Orlando rapper Caskey to YMCMB, he loosely described the young Orlando talent as the first “blue-eyed” rapper signed to the label. .
Recently Caskey spoke AllHipHop.com about his new situation at YMCMB, where he explained that as a culture, we are passed the white rapper stigma.
“I try not to have too much care for the white rapper thing, I understand that the stigma has existed in the past, but we are passed that in my eyes,” Caskey told AllHipHop.com. “I understand that the stigma has there culturally and its a big step, and to even Birdman, he called me the first ‘blue eyed’ artist on YMCMB and I know it was a big deal and he wanted to make it right.”
The story of how Caskey signed to Birdman’s imprint is typical for this era of blog friendly rappers who have signed major deals. He worked on getting his word out to the labels via viral videos.
“He [Birdman] stumbled on my video, I wanna say he was with DJ Khaled, and I had a lot of videos online and when he found them, they ended up watching all of my videos in one night. Then he called me the next week,” Caskey revealed.
Although he’s added to an already stacked roster of artists like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga, DJ Khaled, Bow Wow, Lil Twist and others, Caskey said he has no concerns about making sure his material is heard.
“I don’t have any concerns about that mostly for a two reasons. One – we have a strong team away from the label, with my management and production, and I know with my work ethic, with the resources we are being provided its something we are going to make happen,” the rapper continued. “Its something we live and breathe everyday. Then two – just seeing Birdman and Slim’s passion for my project, I think that gives me a lot of confidence going forward”
In the interim, Caskey is focused on putting together visuals for his already released project No Complaints, which was produced primarily by the Avengerz.
“That was my second mixtape that I was really pushing behind and it was my first tape that was really catered to really treat it like an album with all original material,” Caskey said. “It had a real distinct sound to it and I think with that we had a real clear marketing campaign and how we were going to promote and I think it had the passion in it behind the sound and the passion behind the push to get it out there.”
Great Thursday, my talented and tenacious!
Welcome to the day that you realize that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. Today’s
Daily Word is dedicated to going beyond your circumstance!
Many times, when people aren’t currently living the life they had intended to live, they take it as a sign that the good life may not be for them… They give up and settle for what is, not knowing that the power to change life has always been in their hands! What we all need to realize is
that life is exactly how it’s supposed to be! Our struggles, challenges, and adversity are what build our character and prepare us for our greatness!
Don’t wish things were different, take what you have right now and make it what you want! As George Bernard Shaw said, “People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. Don’t believe in circumstance! The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them” Make your life great! Go Beyond Circumstance!!

Mr. Porter is a busy guy. When he’s not in the studio working ungodly hours, the producer and rapper is writing songs in his car or listening to his latest mixes there on a top of the line sound system. But this should come as no surprise. Having worked with so many Hip-Hop greats, the artist formerly known as Kon Artis has learned a lot – and still has a lot to offer.
AllHipHop.com had the pleasure of visiting Mr. Porter at his studio in Oak Park, Michigan, to discuss, among other things, his two upcoming solo projects, what brings him to tears in Hip-Hop today, and the importance of voting in the 2012 presidential election:
AllHipHop.com: Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to speak with AllHipHop.com.
Mr. Porter: I love AllHipHop.com.
AllHipHop.com: What are the current statuses of your projects Nine and The Memo?
Mr. Porter: Nine is coming first because it’s like a completion. It was supposed to come out on 12/12/12, but a lot of people coming out on that day. Then I decided not to do it, because it takes away from what I was trying to do. The meaning of [Nine] to me is that I have never completed a project for myself. Nine is moved back to somewhere in January, and then The Memo is going to be more like the summer, because The Memo is a dedication to everyone and everybody that ever did anything for me in this game. In my life. It’s a real album.
AllHipHop.com: In the spirit of your record, The Sum of All Tears, what brings you to tears in Hip-Hop right now?
Mr. Porter: The first thing that comes to mind is the content. I feel that a lot of people are harping on the same content. I feel like a lot of people are one-trick ponies. I do it, too, sometimes. I’m a victim of it, too; I’m not sh*tting on anybody. Change up the content a little bit. I don’t want to hear a whole album about your car, your clothes, and how many b*tches you’re f*cking. Actually, I don’t give a f*ck.
But it’s a business. What brings me to tears is that we are scared to take control of the business now. We are the business. We dictate and tell these motherf*ckin’ labels what they’re going to sell by what people like. The more creative you are, you never know. Take a chance. Nobody takes a chance.
AllHipHop.com: There is footage of you at The Shelter this summer co-signing Jon Connor. He’s also in AllHipHop.com’s Breeding Ground. What makes him stand out among this generation of rappers?
Mr. Porter: His content is different. And he’s a very hard working guy. I’ve seen the best of the best, and every time I saw somebody turn into what they are, they worked that hard. And this dude really works hard on his craft. He doesn’t wait for somebody to tell him to do something. He just moves. And that’s the first thing I noticed about him. He’s got sense, and he’s a real humble dude. He’s great.
AllHipHop.com: What’s your goal with your label, My Own Planet?
Mr. Porter: The goal right now is to have a successful artist that I put out. It may take a couple tries; we may go through numerous artists. I want to put out an artist or two through My Own Planet that are successful artists. And when I say successful, I know what that means. Successful to me. Whatever they turn into, they turn into. There’s a success rate that I have for it, and a goal that I have, which I never tell people my whole goal, because then they have their mind on you. And they’ve got this negative energy that I don’t want.
AllHipHop.com: Who are your Top Five Producers, and why you did you select those people?
Mr. Porter: Obviously being a student of [Dr.] Dre, he’s always my number one. And that’s because of his ability to reinvent himself.
Dilla, of course, being a student of that and learning things from him, and being able to have those conversations when I didn’t know how to do something, and then learning why they did it.
And this is where it gets tricky. [laughter] I would have to say Just Blaze definitely. I know Just and his personality and how his beats are two totally different things. I think sometimes the aggression [in his music] is attributed to the fact he’s not like that as a person.
I would say Q-Tip was one of the reasons I even started doing music. When I heard A Tribe Called Quest and the way they produced, that was the best experience in my life.
You know what? I’ve got to say J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. They’re consistent.
AllHipHop.com: What isn’t on your iPod?
Mr. Porter: Right now, what’s not on my iPod is Gucci Mane. Last year, he was on my iPod; this year, he’s not. I kind of keep it short. I don’t try to listen to too much. I stay real current. When I wake up, after I pray and all of those things, I’ll go see what people posted, and see what’s new.
AllHipHop.com: Where do you stand on voting? Do you believe the Hip-Hop community will make a difference in November?
Mr. Porter: The only way Mitt Romney will win is if we don’t go vote. The guy is an idiot. In the debate that happened the other day, he had great points. But I’m no fool. You’re not going to fool me. For the last four to six months, those points [he was making] had nothing to do with what he did in that debate. That was for that debate. And [if] people follow him, and look at his track record, he doesn’t stand for half the sh*t that he said [the other night]. I’m not voting for Obama because he’s Black. I’m voting for him because he’s an intelligent human being. And you can tell that he has compassion. Hip-Hop has to vote. And not just Hip-Hop, everybody.

(AllHipHop News) Everyone from Maybach Music Group fans to supporters and artists showed up in support of Rick Ross’s first day as boss at Wing Stop in Cutler Bay, Florida, where the popular selection among the crowd was the Lemon Pepper wings.
At the grand opening, Ross spoke with AllHipHop.com about his decision to enter the business and bet on yet another Wing Stop.
“You know, really, just being a fan of the wings, first… It really was a great business move, every month, getting those places and counts in. I kind of look at it how Magic Johnson looked at Starbucks. I’m going to go ahead and grind up to 100 of them, just on some real G sh*t,” Ross explained. “It was a good move, [a] great business move. It’s something that’s real laid back. We got a great support team – shouts out to Wing Stop.”

(AllHipHop News) Miami rapper Gunplay turned himself in the earlier today (October 10), for an armed robbery charge, according to his attorney.
Gunplay, born Richard Morales and another man are accused of robbing a man last April.

Rappers, listen up. If your music isn’t up to s####, if your marketing plan doesn’t have one, and if you’re regretting that $30,000 receipt from the last time you ‘lived it up,’ I ask of you:
Leave 50 Cent alone!
In a previous installment of ‘Absolute Reason’, I referred to 50 Cent as “Unicron.” Transformers fans know Unicron as the destroyer of planets. Unicron would manipulate his minions by giving them power, only to control that power. In the entertainment industry, 50 Cent is the destroyer of brands. If you’re somehow linked to 50, your career is now measured: Before and After 50.
We immediately tag 50’s path of destruction to brands like Ja Rule, Fat Joe, The Game, and Rick Ross. It’s almost impossible to dive into a debate about any of the artists named, and not bring up their confrontations with him. Rick Ross survived. But even his career to this date is before and after 50. Ross is currently on an unbelievable streak of hit records and commendable mixtape releases. His sales are strong for today’s environment. However, he could very well be selling 40% more albums without his credibility being brought to question.
What about Ciara? The past few years have seen Ciara in the position of touch and go. None of her music is sticking. And it’s not as if she was replaced by a younger, prettier, more talented brand. She, as well as Vivica Fox, were caught in the web of Unicron. The reason is because 50 Cent has ultimate control over his brand. When you’re linked to him, you’re playing on his turf. Even Oprah Winfrey had an interesting time trying to humble 50 on her show.
So, now that we’re watching French Montana indirectly step up to 50 Cent’s field of vision, I feel there are a few things that French and other rappers should know before even trying their weight at the destroyer:
May my absolute reasoning find you in good spirits…

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Jay-Z has further endorsed same-sex marriage, in a new advertising campaign promoted by The Four 2012. The goal of The Four 2012 is to support the four states where there are same-sex marriage ballot initiatives. The advertising campaign is centered in the states of Maine, Minnesota, Maryland and Washington State. The advertisement uses Jay-Z’s comments to CNN in May 2012, regarding gay marriage. “Discriminating against gays is no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination, plain and simple,” Jay-Z said.
