T.I.
I was just talking about the homey T.I. I was specifically talking about this:
Since Tip got out of jail, hes been smiling a lot. Id look at every post-arrest interview, every photo, every appearance and T.I. was showing all his teeth. I thought to myself, T.I.s about to get that Hollywood money. Forget Hip-Hop money. Hes about to soar now that hes been through the storm. Hes got his kids. Hes got his wife. Hes got a new movie with Takers. Last but not least, hes even got a new album on the way. All the stars are in alignment.
Then I woke up this morning to the headline: T.i., Tiny Arrested For Drug Possession in Hollywood
The whole world is rooting for T.I. at this time, but he now faces felony possession charges. Contrast that with a 3-year probation and you have quite a problem. The Hip-Hop Nation will wonder how he got out of this quandary if he is able to actually wriggle out of it. And , wriggling out of legal issues seems to be something T.I. is very good at. Still, weed and other matters that the music game indulges in dont fit in the very square world of P.O.s and judges.
As far as the pass revocation, the verdict is formally out. Tip hasnt been convicted of anything. Still, I would have assumed he wouldnt do a right on red if he thought it would get him a ticket since his situation is so delicate. I didnt expect to hear of T.I. jaywalking, because there may be a tiny clause in his probation terms that he meticulously scanned. I thought hed at LEAST limit any use of marijuana to the confines of his home and have it brought to him by Young Dro or Pookie, even if it wasnt his weed. Oh well. I’m disappointed.
Best of luck, yall.

(AllHipHop News) Jin, the Chinese-American rapper, signed to Ruff Ryders in 2001, is back and his rhyming skills now incorporate Cantonese Chinese, one of the Chinese languages most difficult dialects. You can listen to one of my songs, you can listen to one of their songs, as a Cantonese speaker, and right away you can tell the difference. Its just the choice of words, of the way we structure our raps, Jin told The New York Times. The rapper, who was born in Miami and later moved to New York, eventually went on to win seven straight “Freestyle Friday” competitions on BETs 106 & Park, making it to the hit TV shows Hall of Fame. There will be clever intricacies here and there, but ultimately I cant get too in depth, at least not as much as I can with my English lyrics because I control the English language better than I can the Cantonese, Jin said.Being the first Asian solo rapper to be signed to a major record label, Jin takes pride in his heritage. What is in my Cantonese vocabulary is just a lot of day to day, you know, a little bit of mottoes and sayings here and there, but ultimately, theres a long way to go, Jin mentioned.Jin also took the time to talk about his religion and his newly developed feeling of responsibility to his faith.God is so dope and hes done so many awesome things in my life, he added. Im a workhorse now. What is driving me?
