Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Tyga’s Album Getting Yanked From Store Shelves!?!

DID TYGA FORGET TO GET PERMISSION BEFORE SAMPLING DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING?!!? CHECK OUT THE RUMOR HERE!

For those keeping track at home, Tyga’s sophomore album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King was finally set to hit store shelves this Tuesday, February 21, after multiple push-backs and delays.

This may not be the case anymore, according to a leaked company e-mail that points the finger at an unapproved and uncleared sample on the album’s title track that uses a part of a Martin Luther King  speech. Because of this “error,” if you will, both Amazon and Best Buy are reportedly pulling the album from shelves until new product is sent to stores in the next week or two.

According to SoulCulture“a segment of Martin Luther King’s speech in question is featured on project’s title track “Careless World” and according to Kings’ estate, Cash Money Records and their distribution and licensing label Universal Music Group did not seek authorisation nor were unauthorised to use it, allegedly resulting in representatives from the estate sending notices to music retail outlets asking them to remove the body of work from their stores and return it back to Universal.”

Tyga really said it best on Twitter: “damn..tryna pull my album out stores. they don’t want me to win huh..lol” He then followed it up with two tweets that crush the rumored last minute album pull, “Tues Careless World will be EVERYWHERE!!!! iTunes, Target, Walmart, Best Buy!!!!!!” and “Feb 21 CARELESS WORLD!!!!!”

Say what you will about some of the music the Young Money camp has released in the past, but some listeners are saying that the Tyga’s Careless World is actually a pretty decent album. (That tends to happen when you get Nas, Busta Rhymes, Wale, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Robin Thicke, Big Sean, and the list goes on, on your album.)

Either way, stay tuned as we’ll all know what the truth really is come Tuesday when the album is was set to hit stores!
