What can I say? I was off with the Jay-Z rumor, but I wasn’t totally wrong. Jay does have a new album coming out as I have been saying for the last couple of days, but its going to be called “American Gangster.” It is supposedly inspired by the movie with T.I. and Denzel Washington. This will be his first CD in less than a year. After Jay was shown the film, he got live and wanted to do it. It is based on the story of Frank Lucas, a 70s drug dealer from Harlem. Jay is already nine songs in and there are more to go….SWEET! I wonder if the Tapemasters had anything to do with this surge in inspiration, because their “American Gangster” mixtape re-mixed Jay a while ago.
We should be hearing the Funk Flex bombs dropping on “Blue Magic,” a song that features Pharrell.

Respect to Mistah Fab and Royce Da 5’ 9” on the battle. These dudes both did their thing in front of the SOBs crowd. Also note that, while Mistah Fab did make a foul comment in his freestyle on Joe’s brother, he recanted that one. On the other side of like, there is something brewing here and I don’t think this is the end of the story here. Shout out to Scoop, the best Hip-Hop ref in the business.

OSCAR DE LA HOYA – WHAT!?
I always felt that Oscar De La Hoya was soft, but I never thought that he was gay. Now, there are rumors running wild that he’s actually gay. They are rooted in the images you see below. Now, I hear Oscar’s people say the images are photoshopped. Based on my expert eagle eye, I say NOT. But, this is NOT a good look unless you are gay and then you now have a champion on your team.
