(AllHipHop Rumors) Not only are action movie fan and comic book enthusiasts excited about the upcoming “Black Panther” film, but the Hip-Hop family is as well.
The African-American community as a whole is excited to see the depiction of strong black superheroes on the big screen. Recently “Black Panther” star Letitia Wright sat down with Variety to speak about the film.
During the interview, Wright revealed some startling things about the project. One of those things was that director Ryan Coogler attempted to set up a female version of “Black Panther” for the sequels. Wright says that the plan got lost in the mix, but that doesn’t mean that the plan has been scrapped.
Speaking with Variety, Wright said the following, “We didn’t talk about it in terms of the future. It was something I feel he was playing with trying to set up, but it didn’t happen. Hopefully, it does. I’m happy that there’s room to allow Shuri to grow. I wanna sit with her a little bit more.”
“Black Panther” has already generated more than $80 million for Georgia’s economy.
The film’s soundtrack was also curated by Top Dawg Entertainment with TDE boss Top Dawg and hip-hop superstar Kendrick Lamar overseeing the project.
