Singer Michel’le is sticking to her side of the story in regards to her former relationship with Dr. Dre in her forthcoming biopic, ‘Surviving Compton’.
Michel’le was signed to Eazy E’s Ruthless Records, and Dr. Dre produced her self-titled debut album. The album gave us her popular hit “Something In My Heart”.
Despite Michel’le’s success, she suffered some pretty bad physical abuse at the hands of Dr. Dre.
Although their relationship was turbulent, Michel’le never called the police, so there is no record of the abuse.
Michel’le sat down with Wendy Williams, where Williams asked Michel’le why did she stay in the abusive relationship.
“After the first hit, you don’t think they’re going to do it again. I didn’t call the police because I didn’t want him to go to jail,” said Michel’le.
Dre has never apologized directly to Miche’le, but he did come out an issue an apology to all of the women he hurt over the years.
The film is due out later this month, and it’s suspected that Dre may sue Michel’le for defamation. Michel’le encourages Dre to sue her because she says he knows there were witnesses to the abuse.
“Please take me, because you have to do depositions and that’s when you have to tell the truth,” she said.
Will you be tuning in?!
