TikTok has given us all a LOT of entertainment on social media over lockdown, but nothing is more entertaining than the video of Lil Yachty getting a full perm. The first time, Lil Boat channeled James Brown when he debuted his bright red perm. In August of 2020, he went viral again when a video of the rapper’s perm “leaked” from his TikTok account. This time, the young rapper’s look drew comparisons to Oprah Winfrey as social media completely ripped his look to shreds, frazzling the rapper. Speaking of Oprah, the rapper dressed up in full drag for the video to his song “Oprah’s Bank Account” featuring Drake and DaBaby. So despite his critics, Lil Yachty’s perm has kept his career “straight.”
