Xzibit,
who is participating in the Anger Management tour with Limp
Bizkit and Eminem, is in the final negotiating stages with Loud
Records for his own imprint, Open Bar Entertainment.
The deal, which
is expected to be closed in a matter of weeks, will see Loud
handling the financing of videos and recordings as well as providing
marketing, distribution and promotion. Open Bar will start off
with a small roster. "We
do hip-hop music. We only got two acts, very small, very tight,
very compact — Golden State, which is myself, Ras Kass and
Saafir, and then we got Defari, and we’re just gonna run with
that. Even though it sounds pretty tight, it’s still a lot of
work" Xzibit explained.
Xzibit also got
some help last week with a list of Hip-Hop celebrities, who
showed up to do cameos for his new video and single "X".
The video, which was shot at the Los Angeles Coliseum features
cameos from Method Man, The Rza, Snoop, Warren G. Nate Dogg,
Ghostface, Master P., MC Ren and others.
Xzibit will release
The Restless LP on December 12th on Loud Records.
