Mr.
Short Khop has announced that
he has landed a deal with the TVT Records imprint. Short Khop,
who was featured on We Be Clubbin and Pushin Weight will release
his debut album, DA Khop Shop, sometime in January 2001.
The
album will feature Shaquille O’Neal, Kurupt, Kokain, W.C. And
Ice Cube. Producers include Battlecat, Cavair, N.O. Joe, and BlaqThoven.
The album will be jointly released on Ice Cube’s imprint, Heavyweight
Records. TVT also announced they have First Look rights to any
artist signed with Heavyweight.
"We’re
excited to be working with a label of such integrity and potential
as Heavyweight Records,” said TVT Records founder and President
Steve Gottlieb. “I feel that we’re on the verge of a great new
era in hip-hop that Mr. Short Khop will undoubtedly be at the
forefront of.” The single, One Way To Win
featuring Ice Cube is available now.
