Billboard magazine has ranked Koch’s In The Paint

imprint as the #1 independent R&B/Hip-Hop label, based on sales compiled

by SoundScan over the past 12 months.

Koch Entertainment landed 22 titles on the Billboard

200 albums chart, fueled by the hip-hop acts on both Koch Entertainment and

In The Paint.

"Our focus has always been to be the best

indie, not necessarily the largest," CEO Michael Koch said. "The continued

success at Koch Entertainment is a testament to both the strength of our artist

and label roster as well as [the] strong management team on our label and distribution

front on the one hand, and the increasing importance of the independent sector

in our industry on the other hand."
