DJs J. Period and G. Brown are paying tribute to the late Notorious B.I.G. with a new mixtape and an invitation only tribute event tonight (May 21), on what would have been the legendary rappers 36th birthday.
The DJs have assembled the second installment of their critically acclaimed March 9 remix project mixtape series, which is dedicated to Notorious B.I.G., who was gunned down March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles.
While the first March 9 installment focused on the darker side of B.I.G.s character on March 9 V.2., the DJs explore B.I.G.s high-rolling, player lifestyle.
The DJs will showcase classics and remixes from the March 9 V.2. mixtape during the evening, which will dedicate a portion of the proceeds to the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation.
March 9 V.2. is available now.
