(AllHipHop News) The Black Eyed Peas and Jay-Z are among the top grossing touring acts in the world, according to new data released in Pollstars Mid Year Business Analysis. The Top 100 Tours list is based on data surrounding a variety of artists and venues ticket sales during the first six months of 2010. The Black Eyed Peas and Jay-Z are the only Hip-Hop acts on the entire list. So far The Black Eyed Peas have pulled in $29.5 million, placing them at #6 on the chart, while Jay-Z is sitting comfortably at #12, with $22.5 million earned so far. The rappers placed far above veterans like Elton John, Billy Joel and Eric Clapton. So far, Bon Jovi is sitting at #1, by earning $52 million dollars in the past six months. Other artists to make the list include Alicia Keys, who earned $11.7 million to take the #27th spot, while Mariah Carey has earned $9.1 million, placing her at #36. On the worldwide ticket sales level, AC/DC is the highest earning band in the world, raking in $177.5 million, while The Black Eyed Peas are #5 in the world, with at total of $48.4 million earned. Jay-Zs international touring strategy has earned him another $24.2 million dollars, placing him at #23 worldwide. Overall, ticket sales are down according to Pollstars data. The combined amount of tickets sales for the Top 100 artists was $965.5 million, down $196.8 million from 2009. According to Pollstar, the 17% drop is the largest dip in ticket sales since 2005.
