Omari Hardwick To Star In Lead Role For 50 Cent’s Upcoming “Power” TV Show

50 Cent Produced TV Show To Star Omari Hardwick Of ‘The A-Team’

(AllHipHop News) Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is executive producing a program for the Starz Network called Power, and Omari Hardwick of the A-Team has been tapped to star in the lead role. Hardwick will play James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a nightclub owner/drug kingpin looking to go straight.

“Omari is an actor of incredible range and versatility,” said Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik. “When we met Omari, we knew he had all the tools needed to play such a complicated and complex character. We look forward to him bringing Ghost to life on the screen.”

The Decatur, Georgia native was previously seen in Sparkle, The Middle of Nowhere, For Colored Girls, Miracle at St. Anna, and Kick-Ass. Hardwick also played football at the University of Georgia and has performed as a spoken word artist.

The first season of Power will begin filming later this fall. The show is set to debut on Starz in 2014. The Goodwife‘s Courtney Kemp Agboh created the show and will serve as the program’s showrunner.
